I think they kind of put their foot in it after the chairman announcing Moses Leota extension plans to extend Kikau and stating at the time that Kikau was the last big signing. (Korisou and Edwards) remain unsigned.

The stocks of Penrith defensive coach Cameron Ciraldo continue to rise. The Panthers have clearly been the best defensive side over the past two seasons. He can now sit back and wait for the right head coaching offer, which most rookie coaches don't usually get the chance to do.

The rules are there to take advantage of and they did it excellently. All the top teams do it, we were too dumb to figure it out

You are incorrect imo. They broke the rules by being off-side - unfortunately Sutton let them get away with it during most of the game.

We were not too dumb at all - when we do it, most referees give 6 again or penalize us.

I am not giving Scumbag Cleary credit for anything at all.

Penrith gave away more 6 agains than almost anyone in the league and majority of them on first tackle and on purpose. They know what they're doing

Leniu is contracted with Pamfers until the end of 23 so if we got him you would have to think it would be for 22, I cant see anyone agreeing with waiting 2 years and if you let someone negotiate, what is the point if you dont let them go?

We need to keep raising other teams young talent. Build the team from Flegg up through NSW cup. This is how we will become the next Panthers and have sustained success

But it’s not really how they’ve done is it ? Players like Crichton, luai, to’o, Leota, Cleary have all been playing together since they were 15-16. If we’re getting them from that age, great. I agree with what you’re saying but we need to first establish our own young talent who really know and get along with each other and then make additions to them.

Yes, agreed. Promote our young talent and recruit young talent in areas we are short in. Veterans to shore up first grade positions we need experience/talent in. Only short term contracts for veterans. This is the stance the club has taken

Penrith did recruit very well around their juniors. Api was always going to be an astute pick up but I bet no one there ever thought capewell would make the impact he did when he couldn’t nail down a start at cronulla. Same goes for Sorensen who’s been massive in their rotations this year

We are using the Penrith model. That is the correct way to build a team. They are bearing the fruits now with two grand finals in a row
