He'd be quality, plus a very good mentor for Jake and will give him the extra time to develop his game and body.

He is an inspirer and definite captain material for a team in real need of one.

I was hoping it's Tapine, disgruntled and probably could use a fresh start.

However as @Geo pointed out - probably heard what everyone else is hearing. It's Hodgson. Who's in a similar boat to Tapine. Been rumoured on the outer for months. We need a leader and he definitely fits the bill...

I have been calling for Hodgson to come here since early in the year. Would provide great leadership, great mentor for Simpkin but given his age doesent block his path to 1st grade. Also it means he can stay on when Simpkin comes on like he does at Raiders. Ticks a lot of boxes. Not that i neesecarily believe it but would be a good move.

Yeah i agree that this hodgson rumour has come out of thin air, but he would be an awesome replacement for hooker.
- Natural leader
- Experienced
- Good for simpkin to learn off

Would gave to expect that if Simpkin wants to go back to Queensland that next year with the new Brissie team signing players for the 23 season would be his opportunity.

Simpkin has like the second or third longest contract at the club right now. Not off till the end of 2024
