I wouldn't call him a "key" signing. Will likely play mostly NSW cup and be there as back up.

I doubt very much that BJ would have been on 850k,people make up these figures to suit their agenda. Journos are the worst at it but not the only ones

Pretty sure he was on something like 600 here, no way on earth were we paying him 850.

It was definitely around the 600-650k mark, just the journos throwing a bit of mayo on it.

Please only spurious rumours, 'insiders' whose info is always wrong, repetitive whining about Matt Eisenhouth and Momorovski and comments that re-live all the classic highlights of how we have been terrible recently. BQM was playing the majority of his footy from Redcliffe when he wasn't benching it up for the Broncos ....

We have also signed Vincent Pereira from Ipswich

Is Pereira any good?

If you have seen him play he will be in reggies after 1 game.He can't tackle

I disagree. No different than Ryan Hall or Zak Hardaker. Both came here to play mostly reserve grade. He'll be a slightly better version of Pauga.

Poor old Jacko read the "Hastings signed for 22/23 *Official" thread from start to finish and has requested the plane be turned around and sent back to the UK.

The comment about the Vietnam war really grinded me gears. So insensitive.

Agree Russ, it’s the only possible explanation, and WT would probably have paid half of that.
The media often gives us a poorer reputation than we deserve.

Fox has him in the starting 17...

Gonna be a bad year if we are relying on him.
Happily be provided wrong though but honest assessment is he's no better than Talau, Roberts and they aren't anything special either.

He'll almost certianly be playing much of next season in NSW Cup. He's got a big step up and he's got to get match fit etc.

Hall did come here to pretty much play NSW Cup. Made a handful of appearances and was rubbish.

If he a slightly better version of Pauga then he'll barely be up to NSW Cup standard

I'm sure if he impresses in #Cup he will get a call up...

Realistically there isn't much standing in his way.
The dark horse is AJ though, who can lock down a centre position if he's healthy and make it his own if he has a solid year.

I'd assume Roberts and AJ start the year unless we make any more signings that will displace them.

He had a bad season this year marred by injury, but he walked into both the England and Great Britain teams previously. If he can get his body right in the offseason (and he still has age on his side) I think he can go well for us.

he may well have said that, but it's wrong. and based on a very poorly written article by bogan ritchie, who was referring too bj's massive fall from grace, on a salary of 850k with canberra at one point to a max deal of 50k on a train and trial deal. It was written like he was having a go at the tigers, even though we signed him at a decent but slightly inflated deal, but with an option we didn't take up.
