Or let Fergo go as he is only contracred until 2018

I know money doesn't affect the Roosters but in this case it might….

Latrell would want 800k and more which is well deserved imo

Fergo signed on for nothing.

I'm just saying if Latrell left it wouldn't derail them

What makes you think he would be good at fullback? I yhonk hes bettdr suited to centre. We need a fullback that can organise our defensive structures. Latrell wouldnt be this person.

Well we've seen him play fullback and I personally think he could easily be as effective at fullback.

Organising defesnive structures is teachable…. the talent Latrell possess isn't

Na but I think we should resign Tui and Thompson while signing Coote too.... much better option

Not having a dig at you or anything I just think people on this forum over think and say no to players who would easily be our best player but then once they sign they're all for it (ala Reynoldys)

Of course you would sign him. He has phenomenal talent. But I agree with Seantice that his best position is not fullback.

Ewww, no thanks.

x2, no thanks.

I hope not, Coote best is long gone. Why can't we see how young Dylan Smith goes.Or look at Nick Meaney from Newcastle.

I would definitely take Coote, a Premiership winner who still has a lot to offer, imo. He is a specialist fullback and his positional play and defence is as good as Tedesco's. He played under Ivan at Penrith, maybe there is some truth to the rumour.

I’m getting more and more depressed when I access this forum.
It’s like a scene from the movie ‘When Harry Met Sally’.. “I’ll have what she’s having”, main because we can or we feel we need to splurge.
We want to knock off another club’s contracted players, we want ‘what everyone else has’ .. for what?
Lachlan Coote? … oh the memories. Ahhh, the memories ... Lachlan Coote in his prime at Penrith and still competitive in his early days at the Cowboys .. BUT ... fast forward, it’s 2018 and Lachland Coote is in his twilight years and riddled with injuries .. are we just desperate or plain dumb?
Sit back, take a chill pill, relax, at least wait on til tomorrow night. We have our very own contracted fullback who has youth on his side, blistering speed off the mark and X-Factor to boot!
Tui has spent the off season under our most respected fullback of all-time (Brett Hodgson).
I believe Tui can be the equal of Tedesco with some confidence.
Let’s cultivate our own backyard and focus on the big picture - players who bring their undoubted skills and longevity not looking for retirement contributions.
We still have 2 positions vacant: we need a hot goal kicker and a strong centre with size and speed.
I would hazard to say we need a good halfback but maybe, just maybe Brooks will come good - maybe, maybe, maybe not. Maybe he will just do for 2018.
Ivan has coerced quality players to the tigers during the off season. We don’t need to reenact the Pied Piper and attract all the rats!
If Tui doesn’t work out then I’ll eat my words.

Spends most his time injured these days

74 games in the last 3 years. I dare say that rivals our best.

74 is three years? So 24 games a year? Not a bad hit out unless your years figure is wrong.

North Queensland 2015-17 74 13 - 4 56 50 24 0 67.57% Match list
Overall 2008-2017 157 56 10 / 16 62.50% 5 249 90 66 1 57.32% Match list
