Which Sydney-based NRL club is already making discreet enquiries about the availability of Melbourne Storm’s anti-vaxxer Nelson Asofa-Solomona should he be stood down for refusing to be vaccinated.

Why would any club want any anti vaxxer, regardless of who it is. One big headache

Why would it be a big headache for us?
By the time the season starts the interstate rules will be reduced and if we don’t play Warriors in NZ then whats the problem?

Clearly it is a headache if his current club doesn’t want him. I’d imagine most clubs would be in the same boat regarding vaccinations.

Victoria has mandated that anyone employed by a professional sports club must be vaxxed to enter any facility so he would not be able to train with the team or play home games

I will eat my hat if vaccines are required to transit state borders by round 1 2022. I am 100% for all to get vaccinated but by Xmas Australia will be 95% double dosed. Zero chance that unvacced will not be able to do what they like next year.

Naiqama at 33 would be our best centre…

If we sign Naiqama we should deadset give up.

I was reading the roosters have tabled him an offer If he’s good enough for them he’s good enough for us

No of course not. He’s a depth player at the Roosters surrounded by a bunch of other great players. We already have a full team of depth players.

After 10 seasons of failure Naiqama is what the club offers as a signing for next season !
Do these guys want to be taken serious or not maybe on a Reggies contract but really ..
He did not offer that much the first time around surely with the new assistants they can find someone younger and work with them , this has Sheens all over this not in a good way !

Yeah sheens doesn't mind a bit of experience mixed in the team. Could be a good move to do with our squad.

I'm not talking about State borders, I'm talking about stadiums, club facilities etc. Same as health care works or police etc being told that you need it to work. The NRL hasn't mandated and NSW or Qld haven't, only Victoria

Unvaxxed can't train with the squad until Dec 1 and then can't attend pubs and clubs during the 2022 season.

I liked Kev when he was here, but strange signing now if it happens.

Good for ressies and depth at a good team.

Gotta be a Major Step up from Pauga, Cini and Kei at the very least...

He would be top 10 for ticker, bottom five for defence, top 3 for rig. Depends what the club is after.

Hair would have to be top 5.

I don’t know. I’d be keen to see Cini get a go at centre in the trials. Similar to AJ Kepaoa he can’t catch a high ball when playing in the back three, but at centre there won’t be many bombs come his way. From what I’ve seen, I can see enough of a footballer in him that I think he could end up a solid/safe centre option while we await the return of Talau/Doueihi.

Naquima's defence was a problem when he played for Wests tigers.

We have Noffa to blame for that.

That’s side was exploited every week. Kev was rushing up and making bad decisions in defence. Nofa is not much better, but Kev never learned to stop doing that. It was mindblowingly dumb. He was diabolical.

NRL Media mathematics has people believing we’re gonna sign Naiqama.

At least hoops can have a giggle with his morning coffee when he skim reads the forum.
