So if Brooks goes to the Knights, where do we go from there?, Madden I don't think is up to it yet. Doueihi is out to round 10 or 12, maybe Peachey but he was going to be our lock, also we are desperate for a centre. Plenty of headaches there, got me beat.

I agree, Brooks needs a fresh start as do we. However, we have no depth in the halves. If we can sign a off contract half for 2023 and try jag a release for that half in 22, we can release Brooks

We are shirt-priced for the spoon next year regardless of if Brooks plays for us or not. I don't think it matters who we trot out in the halves in '22, we aren't having much success. Might as well give Madden a real go at the 7 spot, let him prove whether he is worth keeping or not. Next season is the perfect season for experimenting with plenty of our juniors to see how they handle the step up. '23 might be the year when we can stride up the ladder finally. The Brooks experiment has been done to death and failed unfortunately, time to leave him in the past IMO.

Brooks aside, i dont understand this mindset? We are short priced for the spoon, because our team has weaknesses all over the park. How will we assess whether Madden is up to it or not by giving him a season where he is destined for failure?

And maybe he should jog on if he wants out and we should happily wave him off. The timing is perfect due to injuries however you have to take the opportunities when they come.

If Brooks genuinely wants out, then he can go, $0 freight from Tigers. Will not happen.

Ok we let Brooks walk, but really what’s the point ?? We can’t attract bog average players, so all we end up with is cap space. Brooks might be struggling but he is better than 80% of our squad. Let’s face it he can at least tackle.

For sure if would could attract a 900g standard player as a replacement, go for it, but that’s a pipe dream…we are like a Leppar colony in the market place
