Hello Corey Oates

His talent and size is wasted on the wing. He would be a dangerous pick up at second row

Watch out
I mentioned that before And got cut down
As I said before
Corey would be a great asset to our team

I have to ask is Corey Oates just trying to get a larger contract by wanting to play back row?

I really havent seen anything to suggest he will be a better back row player than he is a winger.

No to Jennings.

Yes to Corey Oates.

Yep.

You don't think he's wasted on the wing? Looks likely to bust tackles with every hitup.

He's a weapon on the wing…. Hard to say how he'd go as a backrower...good attitude tho I guess wanting more work, more action

Hello Corey Oates

A big yes to that

Retain Marsters and Eisenhuth plus those young players on the cusp of the NRL in our ISP team.

No to Oates at the $ it would take to get him from the Broncos.

It is refreshing not to have big $ invested in three players who had no interest in the long term future of WTs. A more even distribution of $ = more harmony and team play in the dressing room.

What position would he play at the Tigers? How much would you need to pay him to move from the Broncos ? How would you drop to fit him in the starting 13?

He would want a 2nd row spot and he plays on the left, so he'd be looking at Lawrence's spot. You would need to pay him a lot and he' unproven as a 2nd rower. Good player but I don't think he'd make a good signing for the Tigers. I reckon he'll stay at Brisbane anyway.

Papali contract negotiations on hold as he is dropped from 1st grade this week against the Dogs.

Thats would be a good signing for the tigers

Brisbane have some players that are going well and off contract that I wouldn't mind. Things are also unstable at the club and I think they might struggle to keep all of these players.

Jamayne Isaako - Plays wing, Centre and is a very good kicker.
Matt Lodge - I know I will cop it for this but he and TPJ have been Brisbane's best.
Tevita Pangai junior - Has been dominating other packs this year.
Corey Oates - $$ will be the issue

Isaako - yes
Lodge - definitely not and we're well covered in the prop department anyway
TPJ - would cost a bomb. Not worth getting into a bidding war considering the Knights and Brisbane will be throwing big money at him (at least).
Oates - I'd like him as a winger for winger dollars but he'll want (and probably command) proven, quality 2nd rower dollars for an unproven 2nd rower. Pass.

A player commanding his salary should not be in ISP.

Agree P&C

Player with his performance may…

I think in the context of this thread that in the same pack as a motivated Packerlino etc he could wreak havoc

Yeah but which Papalii would you get the fat lazy slob one or dare i say it the BEAST Papalii..

We need an impact forward. Papalli is a good impact forward. So is
Marty Tau Pau. How much for both!

Don't think Papalii is a good idea at all. One way to destroy team culture is to get a big signing that isn't performing to their pay packet.

If this season has taught us anything it's that you don't need a team of world beaters to achieve success.

Good point…I also heard Kent on 360 that Cleary wont pay overs for any player and is a good judge of what they are worth ..if they want more than he is prepared to offer he simply moves on...

Papalii would want a fair chunk of cash I'd imagine..

Would prefer to see us keep developing Josh Aloiai for that impact role more than likely at a fraction of the cost..
