It can’t be a co-incidence that Hartigan is gone and we are 1 from 1 with sheens. We just needed that one signing to go right for us and change the whole mood on here. It would be amazing to get him here next year.

That won’t happen. There’s no reason why Parra would release him given how cheap he is, and they already confirmed he would be there in 2022

Well surely there’s one more there worth making a play for. If not Brown, maybe Paulo. I think Gutho and Mahoney will stay. The rest are fair game.

Sheens has a higher profile than Hartigan so he can handle the anchor. Hartigan has done an outstanding job bringing in Utoikamanu and Laurie from what I have read on this forum. Also his junior recruitment has been excellent.

Isaiah Papali’i has informed the Eels that he will be leaving the Club in 2023.

The Club worked with Isaiah and his management team to remain with the club beyond his current contract including a significant upgrade for 2022, however, he has chosen to take up an offer with another Club.

Isaiah made a terrific contribution and has provided great value to the Club in 2021, and both Isaiah and the Club are committed to another strong year in the Blue and Gold in 2022.

We wish Isaiah and his family all the best in the future.

We've re-signed Dillon, Scolari, Pole, the young hooker and certainly lost a couple but that was always going to happen. Also the half dozen or more very talented players from Qld schools to play SGBall next year.

How hard is it when you shake hands to say, the club would like to announce this before the Daily Telegraph? Unless it’s Parra putting it out there as I understand they have to make the announcement first. Either way, good news.

All he has to do to get released is say he is suffering mental health issues staying there and that he doesn’t want to keep training until the grand final

I’d hope not. I wouldn’t want a player like that, playing that card to get his own way. What’s to stop him from doing it to us down the line then? I’d imagine he’s spoken to the club and assured them he wants to be there for 2022. If so, good luck to him.

Funny how things get done now that that fool Hartigan is out of the picture.

A couple more decent signings for next year and 2023 including a centre and things are looking up.

Its certainly looking like Hartigan was the villain for Wests Tigers over the past few desperate seasons.
