rap sheet is enough to avoid signing him, I woul

He's 20x the hooker than anyone we have. You sign players off their football ability, not to make the club look pretty. Sick of this argument.

spot on if they win football games who can fault that.
Hope we can get all three
Api
Thompson
Cotric

You need a good 1,6,7,9
with Laurie, Brooks, Hastings, Douhie we are covered
Sign Api for 9 we then have quality hooker for our spine

Is Api still unvaccinated at this point? I know it was a problem with the panthers early on that he didn't want the jab. Therefore, he would only be playing games within NSW.

I know Thompson ended up getting vaccinated, but I'm not sure whether Api is holding his stance or has caved.

Wouldn’t it be to his advantage? Like, you would be thinking if I tackle him I’m going to get COVID? So just let him run so I don’t die.

Reminds me of when I played and use to wipe snot on the ball as I was running the ball back.

Hey, if you’re not cheating, you’re no trying!

Snot very nice...??

Sharks discard Billy Magoulias attempting to revive his NRL career via a stint in England

Back in the mid 1980s, a nomadic 24-year-old ball-playing forward moved to England to hone his skills and gain the confidence to become a regular first grader.

Gavin Miller went on to return to the NRL and become a modern-day great, a dual Dally M winner and Cronulla Sharks legend.

Nearly four decades later, 24-year-old Billy Magoulias appears to be following in Miller's footsteps.

A similar clever ball-player and sometimes member of the Sharks' top side, Magoulias has moved to English club Warrington in a bid to further his rugby league talents.

Unable to secure a contract in the NRL, Magoulias is hoping the Wolves will give him the opportunity to realise his undoubted potential.

"I've had a bit of a frustrating time the last couple of years," Magoulias, who famously won Newtown the 2019 NSW Cup grand final over Wentworthville in extra time, then the NRL State Championship a week later, told Wide World of Sports.

"I was 18th man a lot and got a few chances but couldn't cement a regular place in the team.

"Then my managers had a few nibbles from NRL clubs for next season - the Tigers showed some interest and Canberra all but agreed before backflipping.

"Then the opportunity came up with Warrington and I thought it might be just what I need.

"They are a strong club in Super League and I've been very impressed with what I've seen and heard about them."

Magoulias has already played international football - representing Greece in the 2021 World Cup qualifiers.

His destiny is now in his hands.

"I've signed for 12 months with a 12 month option and will give it my all," he said.

Remember when the talk was all about Billy coming here - would have liked singing him, but we have bigger fish now.

Why would you wipe snot on it when your team has it for the next set?

Not a terrible player and has plenty of skill with the ball though never really kicked on. I guess Sharks for the last 5yrs have had a pretty solid pack so naturally opportunites to make the 17 have been slim. Has to be a reason he hasn't been able to line up an NRL deal anywhere, possibly attitude related or clubs just haven't seen the value in his skillset. Looked impressive in Reggies though hasn't really been able to show that in 1st's with the chances he's had.

Im not prepared to loose jake Simpkin.

This signing would be perfect to keep him. An experienced dummy half to ease him into grade and in 3 years it’s his team. I think It works well for all

Yeah I'm sure Simpkin would happily wait around for 3 more years in reserve grade decreasing his market value. Signing Api will mean we'll lose an absolute young gun. Not a smart move

Not sure anyone really sees it that way tbh. Simpkin can still play his role off the bench or start if Api is injured. Simpkin is definitely not physically up to starting every game and playing 80mins and Lids is so far off what this team needs atm. There's a place for both Simpkin and Api.

If Storm can juggle Grant and B.Smith for a few years, Im sure we can fit in both our two.

A third on the other hand (Liddle), youd have to think would look elsewhere.

If it's for Api Koroisau then I would easily trade Simpkin or Liddle.

We need someone who can get good ball too our halves. We keep talking up Hastings and keep lamenting Brooks but if they don't get good ball, it all stops.

I like Simpkin, I like Liddle. From what I have seen of Liddle is he does great runs and he is a real running half. It seems our season is dependent on Hastings gelling with Brooks and two Hookers who are still very green.

Cmon, Josh Hodgson was on 800,000 at Canberra. Were talking of Signing him and Cotric??
Lets actually sign a top name for once. Someone holding the premiership trophy (ok and whatever else they did to it) and at the top of their game. If we loose both Simpkin and Liddle so be it but if I were either of these two I would jump at the chance of being mentored under Koroisau, particularly as he won't be there every game.

Lets grab someone top shelf for once.

No it doesn’t. If we get Api for 2023 onwards he’ll be 30 at the time and already the past 2 seasons he’s been unable to play 80 minutes. He will do wonders for Jakes development

100%. I know B.Smith being able to play lock helped their cause somewhat however there were times when both Lids and Simpkin were on the field together this yr. Maybe Simpkin and Api can be used in a similar manner.

Richio thinks Panthers have told api to go to parra.

Well he hates the tigers so no surprise there

Penrith will want him off the books. Where he goes will be of little concern, just that he goes. Someone posted earlier that he likes Maguire, so we will see how much!

Madge gave him his debut and he won a comp with him so makes sense there's some sentiment there. Above all he knows what to expect with Madge whether that's good or bad.

Lucky the decision isn't up to Panthers then I guess.

It'd be really strange if Panthers did try to encourage their leaving players to go to Eels over us. As even with all the rats leaving the sinking Eels ship, most (non-Wests Tigers) pundits would still probably have them faring better than us next year. Wouldn't it be more beneficial for you as a team if you have strengthen another team to strengthen a team much below you than a team who is a much closer competitor to you?

I dont know why they would do it?

I think if you start talking to Api or Simpkin about playing Lock, they would be in for it.
Api will want to play SOO again and him not being able to play another position was a real handicap.
Simpkin is young enough that he could develop into anything.

Liddle, he is probably too small for lock. I don't really know where else he could fit. He would be a decent Off the Bench impact player, but I don't know if he has that flexibility to cover a lot of positions.

Hoping We sign Koroisau, No matter whom we loose.

what was the point of re-signing liddle than if we wanted to go after a hooker ???

Always hard to forsee who and when other hookers with far more talent will become available and they probably didn't expect Lids to stuggle as much as he did. At the time it probably made sense however there's also been a lot of chatter that Lids really doesn't like Madge as a coach and maybe that's the main reason for wanting to move on from him.
