We get rid of Hartigan and we start making moves.

What a surprise.

Can't believe that Hartigan was heralded as the Messiah when he came here from the Chooks, now he's just regarded as chicken shit.

Personally, I don't know what to believe but his reputation on this forum has certainly taken a nose dive since he has left the building.

His fans bailed during Kul's mod "kulling"

?

Well hartigan did go on their podcast.

haha but tbf they know the bloke so it makes sense they have an opinion of him

I've met Adam a few times, seemed a good knowledgeable guy. Whatever Hartigan's reputation is right now, it's almost certainly not accurate to the actual ability (or lack of) of the man himself. I have literally zero knowledge of what Adam Hartigan was doing behind the scenes, but he's no dummy that's for sure.

I think it's also a mistake to equate Hartigan's employment, and then not, as being some magic trigger for signings. Whilst I think the Summer time signings have been good, I wasn't in doubt that we'd see action over this period same as we have seen for several seasons now. Nobody knows for sure if Hartigan had something or anything to do with those signings, nor do we even know if some new person like Sheens got the chequebook out to make some recruitment happen.

And most crucially - we are yet to see if these decisions pan out. I've been hopeful for historical signings that turn out to be absolute custard. Hartigan was, after all, the guy overseeing the signatures of Doueihi, Stefano, Luciano, Laurie, Blore - our best up young players and likely the core of our future side.

I think it's far more complicated than people like to boil down into simply binaries of good/bad.

It must annoy you @jirskyr to offer such a reasoned and balanced and informative post like yours for someone to then offer a short, stupid, ignorant and blinkered response such as that by @TieDye.

It annoys me, on your behalf. And, I wouldn't have had the grace to reply as you did. Don't be deterred though. We need more like you and less of him/her.

TT, belittling TieDye's post in the manner you have is insensitive. Jirskyr's post was enjoyable to read and TieDye has acknowledged his effort.

Fair comment. Fair cop. I look forward to only sensitive and informed comments from yourself and those who upticked your criticism of my post.

I suggested your post was insensitive but that doesn't mean I don't love your work TT!:+1:

Good to see different opinions on the forum still gets you boys riled up. Brooks is a bad defended simple as that as a whole the teams defence is piss poor but the main offenders are Liddle Brooks and Luch no mistaking that and if you think Brooks is a good defender have a look back to our last game against penrith where he missed 8 tackles in one game EIGHT now i know there are people on here who no matter what brooks does will not take any criticism about him or his playing ability but brooks for a long time now has been the worst defender in our team no matter who the coach is

Hey everyone, we all need to take a deep breath and chillout.
Some of the earlier posts in this topic and in other topics are a bit intense.
Please if your going to respond to someone's post make yours informative and not confronting (a response like 'disagree' is poor IMO)
If your posting to get votes because you think it's a popularity contest then take a good look at yourself. Thumbs up votes should be used as a quick way to say that you agree or like what's written and not to boost your ego.
I would think that most nice people want to express what their thinking without arguing.
Not all comments are going to be factual so be tolerant.
If you know the correct facts then state it in a non threatening or abusive manner. If two people are still at loggerheads with each other then go into the private chat mode and leave the forum for those who want to have some fun.
We are tiger supporters and should show our stripes as they say to be friendlier and supportive.
Our team at times are a shambles, no reason for supporters to be as well.

Agree. Being flippant is pretty disrespectful

He's on borrowed time ....has been for many seasons now..... Hasting show any decent organisation and smarts in attack and you can bring the big Hook out for Luke . Hastings wants the halfs spot so its finally up to Luke to show us some smarts in attack. I hope he can lift to an exceptable level because he is a tiger

Isn’t the whole point of a forum to agree or disagree with people? Some times things get a bit funny between posters but not every post needs to be a well worded debate. Sometimes you just need to tell someone they are wrong.

Agree to an extent … waddling through the pissing contests of who’s better and who’s not is pretty tiresome. We support the same team at the end of the day yet there always seems to be a divide ?

I’m itching for some actual footy to talk about

Cheers mate, what part do you disagree with?
I think when footy starts things might lighten up, until such times when we start losing again. 🙂

Mate I respect people who can logically say "hey buddy that's not right because....." but saying remarks that is obviously going to get a bite is wrong IMO. By the way, I wasn't entirely emphasising this topic but most topics seems to have the same issues.
Probably 95% of the members of this forum can have a decent conversation without being insulting or having heated arguments. As I said before, you can have private chats.
The small minority don't seem to have respect for anyone else but themselves.
There's one person on here who has disagreed with me a few times but I value his opinion because he's not full of himself.
Anyway time to move on I think, my beers getting hot 🙂

Next year will be interesting.

Who gets the halves spots out of Hastings, Douiehi and Brooks. Madden could even get a chance if Hastings/Brooks get injuries or don't perform. Peachey could even slot into that role. Brooks is under pressure but so are the rest of them.

We are going to find out if Brooksy stays for a couple more years or not but he is going to have to earn it with quality on-field performances.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know how the bulldogs junior sides fared the past couple years?
I would have thought there would be a few young'uns around the 17-18yo mark, that might have their paths blocked, especially considering that most of the new purchases at Belmore have been long term 4 year contracts. Are there any worth chasing?
