He has been with the Storm for ages but like alot of forwards really bloom mid 20s.

Storm are great at holding players back until they are actually ready. Struggling clubs don’t wait because they can’t and often thats what causes issues in younger potential players making the step up.

We’re lucky we swooped on Pap when we did otherwise he’d be well on their radar. I don’t think Stef was ever in any danger signing with them as he was already contracted for ‘23 and they need forwards for ‘23.

I think Jesse only has one good year left. Kenny will still have a few more, with a couple of them now at the Dolphins. The Dolphins have now signed 3/6 first choice starting Storm pack. They may have something in the wings, but that's a big hit to your experience. I think they'll need to recruit at least one vet themselves.

Storm often don't lose older guys who they think will continue to hold their form. Jesse Bromwich is getting paid good money and his footy has been declining, Kenny is a better player but again probably only had 1-2 top years left in him

They've got Jack Howarth to fill in the back row and there's normally a wealth of good props around to find. They always have a plan

Most of their squad will be upgraded from QLD cup. They'll aim for maybe 2-3 more first graders. I don't think they'll be too worried if they don't get a marquee player. They've got buttloads of talent coming through their lower grades.

Good list. Hoping to see some more State Cup this year (after a Covid effected season last year. Looking forward to seeing some the likes of Pole, Guyan and Dillon etc.
Any backrowers coming through? Manly & the Cowboys seem to have plenty coming ..maybe we need to poach in this position

All three of our development players are currently back rowers. Though Saukuru seems destined for prop. Tumeth plays a bit all over the pack too - lock, prop, second row...

Thoughts on Okane?

He's, rangy, fast, can score a try and defend. I read there is an O'Kane in the Balmain HM or SG Ball team. Is he related?

Looks small...

Saw some footage and he plays tough though.

Unsure of relation to other Okane.

He's much bigger than Tumeth. Built like McQueen i'd say. A big, powerful boy but still young and filling out. Tumeth is small but plays tough

They signed a highly rated teenage backrower in Howarth to a massive deal, the biggest ever for a player yet to play first grade, a 5 x 500k deal for a teenager is huge!
