Storm are great at holding players back until they are actually ready. Struggling clubs don’t wait because they can’t and often thats what causes issues in younger potential players making the step up.

We’re lucky we swooped on Pap when we did otherwise he’d be well on their radar. I don’t think Stef was ever in any danger signing with them as he was already contracted for ‘23 and they need forwards for ‘23.

Storm are the best are letting players go just before they fall off there peak I’m certain they already have youngsters lined up to take both Jesse and Kenny’s spots

I think Jesse only has one good year left. Kenny will still have a few more, with a couple of them now at the Dolphins. The Dolphins have now signed 3/6 first choice starting Storm pack. They may have something in the wings, but that's a big hit to your experience. I think they'll need to recruit at least one vet themselves.

Storm often don't lose older guys who they think will continue to hold their form. Jesse Bromwich is getting paid good money and his footy has been declining, Kenny is a better player but again probably only had 1-2 top years left in him

Most of their squad will be upgraded from QLD cup. They'll aim for maybe 2-3 more first graders. I don't think they'll be too worried if they don't get a marquee player. They've got buttloads of talent coming through their lower grades.
