I go all the way back to the great Dragons sides of the sixties, with Smith as half and a slow but crafty Poppa Clay at 5/8,and the best backline ever eg. Gasnier, Langlands , King , Smith and others to cover for him. As a Tigers supporter we lost many big games we should have won owing to slow halves , other then Bolton and Peter Jones we constantly had slow halves. Look at the great halves, Tommy,Junee,Stewart,Toovey Fulton,Brass,Cronk,Sterling, Kenny,Langer,Lockyer to name just some, that were all part of the great sides. You may get away with one slow half , but not two.! SPEED is crucial all over the field but especially in the halves.
Prop, think he's 25/26 can't remember exactly. What position does he play?
How old?
Because he already knocked the Tigers back less than 12months & the Tigers haven’t improvedWhat makes you say we’re zero chance to land Manu?
Prop, think he's 25/26 can't remember exactly.

Another beat up. Not 2 weeks ago he was offering himself to the tigers not the other way around. "Expected to make a play" code for half arsed verbal diarrhea. From the DT:
TIGERS PLAN ANOTHER PANTHERS RAID
Wests Tigers are expected to make a play for Penrith’s Charlie Staines. Staines has been on the outer at the Panthers having lost his first grade squad to impressive youngster Taylan May. A natural fullback, he has only played one of his 32 top grade games at the back.
The Tigers view him as a potential long-term fullback option with Staines still having a year to run on his contract. He impressed on his Test debut for Samoa playing at fullback.
Despite falling out of the top side, Staines said he remained committed to the Panthers.
“That’s footy, I’m getting a run in (NSW) Cup,” Staines said. “I’m still loving footy. I’m trying to play my best footy.
“I’m very happy at Penrith. I’m contracted there until the end of next year but I’m happy at the moment. Whatever happens, happens.”
He is useless , and that’s been kindSaid it before - I'll say it again....
He's been sacked from plenty of coaching roles prior to this one.
(Including his 20's role here - despite what any else would have you believe)
Nice bloke, Great player on his day
- But you can't be a coach just because you decide you are...
