Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Fwiw Segeyaro was signed by Cleary at Penrith then released by Griffin .
Cleary has already shown that he signs players that have performed well for him at other clubs & Segeyaro definitely did that at Penrith when Ivan was there

Segeyaro is a Big Chance for 2019.

What does that mean for Liddle?

I think he has a big future despite his injury concerns and wouldn't like to lose him to another club

He can spend this year in ISC.
Have a full off season then hopefully be ready for grade come round 1 in 2k19.

Play #14 and share the role with Chicko.
Or maybe be used like Farah at South's, spending time between cup and grade if he isn't ready yet.

Don't bank on Liddle tho.
Hope he comes good but he may not.

Of course there are no guarantees with Liddle but to have a promising young player stay loyal to the club and be professional about it would make it extra special to see him succeed

I hope he builds up stays injury free and gets a good crack at securing the no.9 long term

I don’t mind the idea of Segeyaro coming on board, would add some spark and experience to help Liddle ease into grade. Don’t know if we can offer him what he is looking for in terms of 1st grade pathways as the club is looking at Liddle as the future unless there is a change in thinking.

Liddle might be the future but he has to earn it and not gifted to him.Compitition for spots is good imo

4 days 5hrs 45mins

4 no one cares
5 why bothers
and 45 its a possibility

hold the phone…Oliver is on the way..

And JJ is off the bus lol.

Pascoes comment was misunderstood it seems.

His statement always seemed obvious 'lawyer speak', that stated the absolute minimum and left a large boot in the doorway for at least another change. The situation remains fluid for mine.

I agree I don’t think that Liddle has locked him self in as our future hooker but he has shown plenty of upside. I’d want to keep him at this stage.

Hold the phone again looks like Clark will be an ISP signing but with the unofficial release of Felise the door is still ajar…someone mentioned Kaide Ellis in this thread ..he'd be pretty good pick up...strengthen the back row..

Like Seggy as a footballer

But as a person is a differnt story, very much like Norman

Seen him out and about around the bars and will be the first to admit would not want him to be apart of the club and certainly not fitting the newfound culture the tigers are trying to implement due to his behaviour and personal vibe….. thats just my opinion

Makes me laugh when you see some comments. Segeyaro has said that he wants more game time and not play limited minutes. Why would he come here if he has to share duties with Liddle? Thats like asking Oates to come here and play for us on the wing. Stupid.

The 27-year old Papua New Guinean representative wants more game time and Shane Flanagan has informed him that is something that is something he is unable to promise him and grants him approval to start conversations with rival clubs to achieve more minutes.

It has not taken long for rival clubs to begin to circle for the 27-year olds signature. It is understood that the Parramatta Eels, Newcastle Knights, Manly Sea Eagles and even though Wests Tigers have recently welcomed back club legend Robbie Farah, they see Segeyaro as potentially their long term option as hooker.

That would be our 5th hooker, yeah?

Wests Tigers new COE at King's cross with all these hookers.

Wests Tigers announce player transfers

Wests Tigers have today confirmed two player movements, with JJ Felise to depart the club and Oliver Clark to join, both effective immediately.

Felise, who was off contract at the end of 2018, has been granted an immediate release to take up an opportunity at another club.

The 22 year has played 13 games for Wests Tigers since making his debut in Round 7, 2016.

Wests Tigers would like to thank JJ for his efforts while at the club and wish he and his partner well in the future.

The club is pleased to welcome Oliver Clark, with the 21 year old training with the NRL side today.

Clark, a Quakers Hill junior, will be with Wests Tigers until at least the end of the 2020 season.

Clark played in the Penrith Panthers ISP premiership winning side in 2017 and was a part of the victorious NSW Under 20s Origin teams in both 2015 and 2016\. He was also named in the NYC Team of the Year in 2016.
