Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Interesting… seems a nice kid, we were sitting next to his grandma at the raiders game. She mentioned his distracted by a few things off field but his working hard to sort them out. In her words his been suffering a bit of form cause of it. If his out, that’s a spare spot in the Top 30 next year. I’m not sure how those development contracts are structured but I was sure all 4 are part of the top squad next year which I’m not sure a lot of you guys have factored into your signing plans. In saying that by next year you would hope he would be ready for that spot and with the way his progressed, his far from a first grader. Frees that spot up for someone more experienced.

Need to be a development player for two years before you can be promoted and get the cap discount.

Ahh, thanks for clearing that up. So 2020 they are into the Top Grade. Is that club discretion or part of the player contract?

I reckon Nene Mcdonald from the drag queens would be a good buy for around the $350k mark. We need a big, strong and tall winger. He is 193cm and 108kg makes good meters, solid in defence and under the high ball and can sniff many a try out.

I like Nene, Quick tall and backs himself.

Gibbs on his way out…

Heath?
Whats the goss?

Was granted a release and has signed with Newcastle

We've got next to no elite talent in this age group and absolutely no elite centres with any kind of pace. We need a huge influx of elite talent most especially young fast and talented centres? Bronson Xerri is the player we should be after,.

Club discretion. They have a development contract at the moment and we can re-sign/upgrade if we want.

So where is all the talented juniors from that huge junior area of the Southwest or is this being shown up for what it is a falsehood . The club has to have a long hard look at the direction it is taking as at present playing games and the propagation of junior talent does not seem to be working out to well from that area!

Thought that he came from further up the coast at Port Macquarie, but Newcastle would be less daunting than a large city for some.

Another hole in the centre ranks for WT that needs to be filled.

Your views on the south west shine through in most your posts. There are not many good juniors in the Wests system from the south west, because the good ones have been poached by other clubs before Harold Matthews age.

That is what happens when the area is largely ignored. The roosters have linked with one of the bigger clubs (Narellan Jets) so guess where their top players end up?

Which school out there has the club linked with to provide local opportunities for good juniors? We have Holy Cross, previously had Keebra Park what is the south west equivalent

You are thinking of Sam McIntyre

Gibbs was from Dubbo i think. Timana Tahu's cousin too.

It is very concerning that teh two positions we are weakest in in first grade (centre, second row) we have absolutely no players coming through the ranks in ISP or Flegg.

Hopefully a few more mid season swaps and then another 10-12 outside backs signed for next season across the grades.

Morris twins will be available.

NRL Rumours on Facebook saying Bryce Cartwright back to Sydney with Titans set to release him at end of year.

Ivan gave him his start at the Panthers. What do you guys think?

Starting to look like the superstar half back from Parra from about 15 years ago that literally disappeared

Can't even remember his name now

Pass , unless he can find some form very quickly and his price tag would want to be rock bottom and performance based
