Don’t get bitter. Get better.

Yeah it's kind of hard though when we're up against this sort of bias. The rich clubs just keep stacking themselves with all the elite players while clubs like ours end up with nuffies or honest toilers, who just don't have the talent to compete each week. How are we ever going to get better than these teams with this scenario happening more and more and no one even caring putting a stop to it?

Draft.

As if the NRL would implement that - too fair and sensible.

Ha - yes will never happen. The powers that be would never approve.

Corey Oates, we should seriously go after him now that Bennett has put pressure on him .. 2nd row position yours buddy .. build up some then 2nd row … !!

Lol of course! If you don't stay at Brisbane where else would you go? A forgone conclusion that's becoming laughable really. Maybe the Roosters and Broncos can just play each other for 3 games each season, a la State of Origin format, and that can be the NRL comp for the year.

I really can't be bothered with the game anymore with this kind of underhanded crap and blatant favouritism going on all the time!

The way the league is going I would think the NRL would have to be looking into some sort of draft proceeding.

Heaps of natural ability in Luai but week in week out in the NRL is very different. Perfect scenario for him against big tired forwards missing tackles. Once teams are onto him and put him under pressure I doubt he’d look anything like that each week.

We need to take a leaf out of Newcastles book…they went out on a limb and signed ponga with very little Nrl experience....i really think this kid is going to be the goods....im just sick and tired of this club signing washed up hacks from clubs with losing cultures

Re Newcastle. Just read this article on how they struggle to sign players too ..

But the interesting part of the article is this …

This Bronco has already bolted

It didn’t take long for the Knights to be linked to another winger after they lost out to the Parramatta Eels during the week for the signature of Blake Ferguson.

It was reported the club now had impressive young Brisbane Bronco Jamayne Isaako in their sights.

Only trouble is we hear that horse has already bolted.

Isaako has apparently already decided on a club for next season with the Knights told they’d be wasting their time if they pursued it.

Our mail is he will either stay in Brisbane or announce he is moving to the Sydney Roosters as Ferguson’s replacement.

I’m feeling the same Spud. Really over it at the moment. Maybe all the loyal, true, rusted on supporters from the non favoured clubs should all walk away at the same time - cancel memberships, cancel Foxtel, stop buying merchandise and tell Melbourne, Brisbane and roosters to split up the $50 000 annual revenue.

The way the favored teams are treated as an open joke, yet nothing changes, tells me that the NRL either has a big shake up coming or it's going to die a slow death. The playing field can't continue with this tilt but teams that are getting away with it now aren't going to change voluntarily. I simply don't see the point of following a team that will never be competitive on the field because it can't compete in the brown paper bag department.

I agree mate. Obviously you cant get players wanting there own way all the time. However I feel Oates generally wants to play in the backrow. Instead of giving him confidence and helping him trybin that position after a preseason Bennett has come out and said that stuff. Honestly he has no idea sometimes and just expects everyone to conform to Waynes world.

Oates has the right build for the 2nd row. He's quick and gibes his all. I'd pursue him for sure. He might take a year to come good but there is a whole lot more upside.

Yep - can’t compete financially but also can’t compete against the refereeing that constantly and continually gives the 50/50 calls to the power clubs. Week after week after week
