not sure if it's ISP or NRL contract

Development player

It doesn’t say anything about a development contract in that so I’d say he’s just moved clubs. Good luck to the kid

If Farah and Benji take up spots 25 and 26 with the 3 development players also taking up spots that only leave 4 spots to bolster the squad…

I don't think that's enough...Garner looks to have made the most of his opportunity so that helps...but outside backs and impact off the bench is still way too light..

I think Benji is just about done...Farah I think will be looking to go around again but if he doesn't another hooker needs to be found...

It's a juggling act..

If those 4 spots were filled with a top notch mongrel front rower, a classy wide running hard hitting SR, a classy quick centre and a very fast tall top notch finishing winger - then i'd be happy - good luck with that Ivan.

Yeah I agree with that..lets go out the back and shake the top notch mongrel front rower, a classy wide running hard hitting SR, a classy quick centre and a very fast tall top notch finishing winger trees and see what falls out..

Hmmm of the off-contract current NRL players, I’d look at:

Top notch mongrel front rower - Lodge / Hetherington

Classy wide running hard hitting SR - Pangai-Junior / Lane

Classy quick centre - Rona / Kelly

Very fast tall top notch finishing winger - Oates

They are some of the ones I was talking up getting also. However, since then I think both Lodge and Pangai Jr have re-signed with the Broncos, not sure about Lane, Kelly is adamant he wants to stay with Manly and Rona? Meh, his would be signing is a long running soap opera that will never end. There is a Rugby World Cup coming up soon and he is a Wallaby - doubt he'd give that up to play Rugby League with us.

That leaves Hetherington, who I think is a must to chase if we're serious about getting some mongrel up front. He is stuck behind a stack of other top notch forwards at Penrith, so a guaranteed starting spot would be a good lure, surely. And finally Oats, who I would love to have here as a winger, not as a second rower, but by all accounts he wants to play second row and most likely will want to stay in Qld. Cowboys, Titans or re-signing with Brisbane, imo.

There are players well and truely not signed that are a big step up from what is at the club now .., there seems to be some hesitation or has there been some signed ? One hopes so !

We are so light on at Centre. With Naiqama, Tui, Suli and Milne all departing (or departed), have we not only replaced these with Mbye so far?

I would imagine another 2-3 outside backs is crucial. Maybe my math is wrong…

Lodge ignored huge money from Newcastle to sign with Brisbane for supposedly bugger-all in comparison so you would assume he is getting a substantial amount of money under the table from the Broncos off-field money pit. He will be staying there until that shonky contract is seen out to the satisfaction of the Broncos "brains trust" aka Underhand Specialists.
Just ask Andrew Gee, oh hold on, he's gone deaf mute these days after the NRL sniffed around a few suspicious goings-on at Red Hill.

I rate the winger for the dragons Jordan Pereira, he’s been playing really well since Nene Macdonald went out injured and from what I can see he’s off contract at the end of this season. Can also play centre, 182cm tall, 97kg’s, does well coming out of their own end and can finish a play.

Your comments re Andrew Gee 100% spot on.

There is nothing that will be ever done to correct the blatant cheating because without the Broncos participation and crowd support the game would not be financially viable.

While I'm at it, can somebody please explain to me why the Broncos had three home games in rounds 18,19,20 against the Warriors, Panthers and Sharks you didn't need to be too smart to figure out that the Sharks and Panthers were always going to be in the mix for seasons honours.

My point is this at this time in the season EVERY TEAM is playing for something top four position, top eight, keeping respectability or avoiding the spoon.

I fully realise it all turns out the same supposedly with equal home and away games, but the allocation of three games at home at this time of the season leads me to only one-line of thought every possible leg-up for a top four position or at the very least home ground semi-final.

FIRST, it was Greg Inglis.

Now, Latrell Mitchell.

And before long, Kangaroo great Justin Hodges can see another indigenous kid from the North Coast becoming a genuine strike centre in the NRL.

“I think Brian Kelly will be next,” Hodges says of the rising Manly Sea Eagle. “I think he’s a massive chance to come up and do something special.

- “I love the way he runs, the way he does things in attack.

“He runs hard, really aggressive. And if you get him early ball, Kelly can really trouble defences.

“I see him is one young player who can really turn into a great centre.”
