Like I said on a another post, I’m cautiously optimistic. I’m happy with the Klemmer and Bateman signings (the IP and Api signings were Madge signings). He’s got arguably our best line up since we had Moses, Tedesco and Woods here (not to mention easily our best forward pack since Ellis was here) so I expect us to at least be competitive for the 8, even with the backs being underwhelming.
Considering no one else of significance wanted the job and the search was being led by Sheens, I won’t give Pascoe credit for that.
I believe we've recruited well up front. It all starts in the pack and with a successful hooker and hard working above-average forwards mixed with talented kids should result in some success.
I'm still out on Sheens. Hope we see something out of it, but could just as easily go the other way. Compared to potentially landing Ciraldo, I think Sheens was the better bet.
