Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Lichaa is capable no world beater and value for money ..what has to be realised is if Liddle can not play 80 mins from the start of next season a high profile Hooker will need to be approached …I will throw it out there and offer Jake Friend a contract .

There are some really good hookers on the market Segeyaro, Luke, Api and to a lesser extent Rein and Baptiste.

The first 3 mean you lose Liddle as they are starters. Rein or Baptiste would be good as reserves if Liddle is the the answer.

Question I have is - how long do you wait for liddle to come good?

All good for these guys to turn there nose up at Lichaa… Who showed in the world cup that he's more than capable but come next year when Liddle has a sore shoulder for 75% of the season and we're relying on massive duds or Taylor to fill in... They'll be the ones complaining even more we didn't recruit what we could.

We recruit…. Liddle doesn't start next year.

Eother Farah plays a year and Liddle plays #14 or we recruit Lichaa or Parcell and they start...

If Liddle has a injury filled year, he can be ISC hooker going forward into 2020 or find a new club.

He isn't reliable.

Would love to see Liddle bulk up a bit, but in the mean time if Robbie retires we have to sign a quality hooker, for me its either Rein or everyones favourite Lichaa. As was said could be value for money, i hope.

Rein isn't anything special either…
Wouldn't offer anything more than Lichaa would.

Can Josh Drinkwater play hooker?

Honestly think the coach dropped the ball with singings.

Should've signed RtS and Lichaa instead of Reynolds and Mbye.

1\. Tuivasa-Sheck
6\. Benji
7\. Brooks
9\. Lichaa

ISC / Depth signings...
Steve Masters
Zac Lomax
Scott Drinkwater
Zach Nicholls

Missed the boat tho.

Parcell was good at Manly. If he's willing to come back from the UK id be offering him a contract.

Imo he's a game changer.
A lot similar player to Damien Cook.

Very fast and involved.
Have followed him closely in super league.

Much better player than Liddle and some reliability we rly need… 80 minute player.

Doesn't go missing like Mbye either, something he needs to work on... 18 tries in >100 games. Has it in him. Needs to step up or I fear our basic years aren't over yet.

There doesn't seem to be any interest in Liddle from any other club except us.
Is that because he's not first grade material, or because he's locked into the club long term.
Im not sure Liddle would walk away from us if we signed another 9, he would have to be considered by another club to be first choice otherwise there would be no point jumping ship.

Please no to Lichaa. He is not the standard we want for our club. If we signed him, we would be going down the same path of average recruiting that we seen so commonly in the past.

I wouldn't let Lichaa mow my lawn. He was overhyped from the get go and is bog average to say the least.

What happened to the Segyaro rumour? I'd much rather him than Liccha. We need an experienced livewire dummy half, it's becoming clearer with each passing game that Liddle isn't going to be the player we all hoped he would be. We can't keep the hooker position warm for him forever!

I thought it was Seggy or Robbie, and we offered the contract to Robbie.

There really isn't any great hooking options right now and signing a bloke for one year to see what comes up down the track is probably what Ivan is looking at, I personally dont see much in Liddle myself, no kicking game, not a known workhorse in defence, redzone attacking options havent really stood out, He does have a good turn of speed on a quick ruck but is that enough to persist with him?

I’d like to see young Blayke Brailey added to our roster. He’s skillful, quick, offers a sharp accurate service and is potentially a better player than his brother Jayden. Blayke is still a bit slight and needs to build and strengthen his body, but I think he’d be worth investing in. Both brothers are specialist hookers and will eventually become 80 minute first graders, so the reality is one of them will need to find another club if they are to make the most of their careers in the NRL.

It's a no brainer. If Wests Tigers don't pick up Blayke Brailey as a back up hooker they would be asleep.

Pretty Shaw he's off to the Roosters or Roosters are close to getting him I was reading some where understudy to Jake Friend before he retires

Liddle looks good in ISP as well, how will Brailey be any better we need a solid hooker not another skinny runt.

Getting Isaac Luke would be a massive upgrade. He seems like he should have another good two years in him.

Give the kid a break. He has had two shoulder reconstructions in the last year and as a consequence did not have a pre season at all. This year, the only way for him to gain some fitness was to play ISC where he was obviously far too good for that grade. In my opinion he will be a champion number 9 and just watch him go next year. We didn't sack Benji during his horror run with shoulder injuries and we don't need to get rid Jake to another club either. If that ever happened -and it won't since Ivan is too good a judge of a footballer - he would definitely come back to bite us.

Liddle is our long term 9\. Great player - creative and fast. Still rebuilding confidence after a challenging year.
Offseason to build up a bit and work on front on defence and he’ll be good to go.
Have faith!!

I'm with you TS I have faith in Liddle being a success next year after a full off season to build up.
