I think both need to be moved on rather than get moved into a different position.

AD strength is a ball runner but he has more weaknesses that just aren’t evolving. Putting him at center could hide some of them but his defensive attributes will be found out.

Brooks just doesn’t work. He did do some good things but like AD the week before - they both can do some individual good things but the biggest issue for both as chief play makers is when we need them they just get lost, go quite and just don’t lead/know how to win. The team around them don’t respond to either of them. They both don’t setup their sides & no one is playing in a formation. Brooks with 3-1 kicks behind instead if a cut out ball to the chest is perfect example of not reading the play & executing how it should be.

After yesterday AD should be dropped.
His effort was more costly than anyones I thought.

what 7 did we buy ? Hastings? we can do better than Hastings.
Do think a George Williams Brooks combo or Moses Brooks combo will work well.
First round Brooks was terrible, yesterday much better he did a hell of a lot of defence too, he was not the reason we lost yesterday.
I don't think wakeham is much good but I would play Brooks as a 6 and running the ball. Only other option is Brooks 7 Laurie 6 and don't particularly like that either.
As you have said Laurie could play wing and maybe we drop nofo ?
The sticking point with the club at present as I understand is the length of Brooks contract not necessarily the dollar value I think the club is happy with the dollar value for 2024 and beyond. Still think a bit to play out with Moses tbh
As for AD we need a centre and he fits the bill at present and has played well there before.

If Sheens does that Staines needs a good 6-8week min crack at it. Gets told it’s yours. Not a chop this week and Laurie is back. That takes us to round 10 when Bula or some other kids could step up if we want to focus on the future.

It was the worst nrl game of the year by a mile and that’s on us not the ref or no calls going our way.

Our forwards are trying to be something they aren’t. Stef has made more errors in 2 games than in 40 games. Klem made the least mtrs in seasons. We have zero line runners. We have zero depth or structure to our attack. We are running 2 5/8th model and zero mechanism for a fullback to be the 2nd man in the line play.

There is soooo much wrong with us atm.
We have zero respect for the basics of the game and have wrong people executing.

The only change apart from Bateman Blore and Pole coming back would be at fullback. Laurie offers nothing.
I'd change the half as well but it's pointless suggesting that because it won't happen.

Maybe. Yes if a few things were different Tigers might have squeaked out of it.
But…a decent team would have beaten Newcastle comfortably yesterday, not assed their way to a narrow win. Newcastle played for 25 minutes with 12 on the park, and their best player gone after 10 minutes.
It was an inept performance from WT. Schoolboy footy at some stages in the second half.

Mate - he is playing as a 6. He has been for the last couple of seasons. The club has gotten this right. The problem is AD/Api aren't delivering.

I am being harsh on Api. I think he is a class player and he just needs a bit of time and he will kill it for us.

Can't argue with what you've said. I will add everything just either seems one out with no decoy runners or back up . Even when it's a set play, it is usually played so far out from the defence they would have enough time the read the old SMH from cover to cover if we were a newspaper.
There's something missing in the mental attitude of the team that of the team that every other team seems to have - a desire to win. Either that or no faith in the halves creating something.

So true. After two rounds you can see just about every team has improved. Tigers defence perhaps marginally better than last year but in attack they are diabolical. Yesterday they just seemed bereft of ideas and direction when the game was there for the taking. Newcastle practically gift wrapped it for us but still couldn’t ice it.
