Yeah peach for centre

Peachey and Masters would be a pretty destructive centre pairing.

I think masters next project should be second row.

His defence is pretty shakey just think he is still a year or two away from moving one position closer to the ruck

Yep his tackling side of the game need to be worked on by the defence coaching staff.
But have no doubt he will end up in the forwards.

Roosters are looking to offload Napa so they can make room for tpj via Barry Toohey of Newcastle Herald.

Fine, cheating Rorters can have TPJ. If we get Napa, that will be a great start.

No doubting Napas talent. My only concern would be his reckless playing style. Aggression is great, but his suspensions of late will make him likely for further in the future due to his poor record. If he becomes smarter in defense he'd be a great addition to our pack.

He would be a cult hero in no time it would be a good marketing decision for him to come here.

What the Roosters do is sign the best 16-18 year olds on money other clubs can’t afford outside the salary cap. Bring these players through each year ie: Mitchell, Manu, Radley.
They then top up marquee signings Keary, Tedesco, Cronk with third parties 200k + each. Their last trick is to have no morals and sign people with atrocities. Ferguson, Tetevano on the cheap.

It’s the Golden State Warriors Warriors of the NRL the rest of the players take a small haircut to play on a winning squad.

They and their families are also looked after off the field which no team can match in the corporate world.

They are a blight on the game and have no juniors alll their best players are from other clubs.

Well said.

I don't know how true it is, but I've been told a similar type of story. Roosters sign you to a decent cash contract, but then everything else you need is taken care of by "friends" of the club.

So if you need a ride, some food, apartment, a tailor, travel - you just go see the "friends" and they sort it out. Stay with the Roosters long-term and these arrangements last long-term.

So for example Tedesco, he is earning a less at Roosters than Tigers and Bulldogs offered him, but he has nil off-field expenses because everywhere he goes, "friends" look after him.

"How much for the dinner?" "Meal's on the house, go Roosters". Tedesco probably couldn't pay for a beer in the Eastern Suburbs if he tried.

From what I hear that’s true - it’s all covered by the 3B

Is it just me in thinking the Knights are better recruiters than us.. They have Trent Merrin in there sights and panthers happy to release if they can come to an arrangement..

WHY are we not been at least mentioned on ANY signings.. The knights fans at least get the impression there FO is trying to improve unlike ours.

Good question. Speculation only but it could be we have signed players and all parties are now keeping quiet until after the finals.

Perhaps because in years gone by we were mentioned in EVERYTHING to do with signings, and now we have a tighter ship that doesn't leak so much info.

Don't mistake lack of noise for lack of activity.

You might pat Knights on the back for their recruitment but it didn't do them much good in 2018\. And frankly in the lead-up to 2018 I don't think they recruited any better than Tigers did, except they were able to jag Mitchell Pearce very late. Apart from that who did they get? Watson, Guerra, SKD the year prior, Moga, Ese'ese, Lillyman, Heighno. All Roosters and Broncos rejects who were retiring or injury-prone.

Ponga yes, they threw the sink at him and it's a great signing. Pearce just fine, but not a target for us when he sought a release.

Yawn…. overrated.
Julia Gillard is available.

Napa is living on reputation he has 2 games this year over 100 metres against the Dogs and misses heaps of tackles. When he is on he is destructive but he has Kane Evans written all over him. Goes good in origin but doesn’t bring it every week.

Agreed. He would be one of the worst value signings we could possibly make.

If we got Napa i would make him play 40 mins
20 before the break and 20 before the end of the game. If you bring him on in short stints and he channels his aggression for those minutes he would be very destructive.

Because the knights have a coach that wants to be there.

Does anybody know much about young prop Ben Seufale…? He picked up the Tigers Jersey Flegg Players Player Award last night.

I saw him play a few minutes coming off the bench in ISP at the backend of the season, and I was keen to see a bit more of him but unfortunately that didn’t happen. First impressions was he has good size, power and speed, but haven’t seen enough to fully form an opinion.

He played 4 ISP games and I found this on the Tigers website:
A Western Suburbs junior, Seufale was impressive in leading the club's forward pack throughout the year — averaging over 90 metres and 22 tackles per game — while also chalking up four tries, 47 tackle breaks and 22 offloads in his 17 Jersey Flegg games.

He’s staying with the Tigers Jersey Flegg side for 2019.

Can't see us using 3 of our interchanges on one player.

Especially if they reduce the number of interchanges, we already have a prop that can't go longer than 20mins. Napa is already in talks with Newcastle, Parramatta & the GC.
