Pardon my aged ignorance TT,but who is the “hat”, and does he/she have any cred ?On SEN today it was suggested by the ‘hat’ that tigers are about to “embark on a very aggressive recruitment drive” hopefully it is with quality players willing to say ‘yes’
Been killing it in Reggies as a 9. Dogs have been desperate for a 7 to help Burton, he is been tried many times and he hasn't been it. Pass as a half.Genuine question I don't rate Flanagan nor do many people on here or at a few other clubs. But he's been killing it in reggies, so the question is, is he any better than Wakeham? ie would people consider Flanagan as a direct swap for Wakeham?
Perhaps then we could go for a Sanders and give him a year to develop further, with Flanagan as a stop gap for a year IF we can't get anyone better who is more experienced.
All this is assuming we have Fainu done and he will be our 6 next year so we can't have two inexperienced halves paired together next season.
Got it now mate, Lee. Didn’t put 2 and 2 together.Pardon my aged ignorance TT,but who is the “hat”, and does he/she have any cred ?
This is going to be interesting, if offering Mitchell Moses and Cameron Munster the family fortune and your first born child wasn't aggressive then I can't wait to see what comes next.On SEN today it was suggested by the ‘hat’ that tigers are about to “embark on a very aggressive recruitment drive” hopefully it is with quality players willing to say ‘yes’

I wouldn't have him anywhere near the club.Genuine question I don't rate Flanagan nor do many people on here or at a few other clubs. But he's been killing it in reggies, so the question is, is he any better than Wakeham? ie would people consider Flanagan as a direct swap for Wakeham?

I agree, he keeps saying the same thing over and over, just swaps Flanagan for Clune depending what day it is. For all we know Flanagan might do well here, we know for sure after 11 seasons that Brooks never did well here, so why cry about losing him, we can't just keep doing the same thing over and over hoping for a different resultTell us again what brooks did here in 11 years?
If Wakeham is our half next year, we're stuffed. Is he better than Wakeham? Im not advocating us signing him i was asking a hypothetical question, as it stands Wakeham will be our HB next season presuming we resign him.
LOL let's embark on the journey again im sure the club could get Reynolds and mbye back and parade them around 🤣I recall Justin Pascoe used those same words in describing his drive that included Packer, Reynolds, Matulino and Mbye. I can’t believe I’m sitting here being asked to have faith again 😤
Go back to the muppet show where you both belong !!!
I wouldn't have him anywhere near the club.
The carry on when he said "This is my house" for scoring a try when his team was down by 28 odd points already against the Sharks tells you all you need to know.
Flop of a human, dud halfback.
I would cop Wakeham 7 days a week over Flanagan.
Shouldn't we be talking to Sanders as well? What if Fainu says no?Fortunately, this isn't the case.... Fainu is seen as our long term 6 prospect.
Sanders is seen as a 7 option. However, the club aren't looking at an inexperienced 7 more so the opposite hence why Pearce, Johnson and Moses have been contacted previously. I understand it, the idea of Sanders and Fainu both getting thrown in the deep end to turn this team around is a dangerous game to play. Much prefer partner Fainu with someone experienced to help with his development and overall team production.
Hunt is still seen as a potential 7 option for 2024 but this is seeming unlikely.

Who says we're not talking to him?
Hard to believe only Canberra & Parramatta in the race for Ethan Sanders.
Lee seems to have his heart in the right place...but also seems to have zero idea about footy. On SEN today it was suggested by the ‘hat’ that tigers are about to “embark on a very aggressive recruitment drive” hopefully it is with quality players willing to say ‘yes’
Yet last week Sheens said we need to hold our nerve for the pathways to develop the next generation and Fulton said if you're not a destination club you end up with overpaid middle of the road players. On SEN today it was suggested by the ‘hat’ that tigers are about to “embark on a very aggressive recruitment drive” hopefully it is with quality players willing to say ‘yes’
Thanks mate, Do you think we will get Fainu?Fortunately, this isn't the case.... Fainu is seen as our long term 6 prospect.

Apparently "yes". I don't get it as the Dogs clearly have Halves options lined up and we don't. Although Maybe Toby just wanted a start and not to have to rescue an entire team.Did the Dogs just sign Toby Sexton from now ?
If so, how did we not look into this considering how terrible we are in the halves. Its like the light are on with no one inside working
Okay that's fair.Bit of a redundant comment; Bulldogs are doing very many of the things (and committing many of the same errors) that Tigers have done, but they are probably emulating our decision-making circa 2018.
I also think it's silly to say Tigers aren't trying to improve. Both clubs went for Cameron Ciraldo, both clubs competed for Tevita Pangai. Both clubs made big offers to high-profile candidates and missed out; both clubs signed some high-profile candidates. Both clubs recently sacked out-of-favour but experienced coaches.
It's not that Tigers are not trying, they just aren't doing the right things or aren't getting results from the things they've tried.
Given the media seem to know intimately who are targets are and when they knock us back, I'd say if the media don't know about it, it isn't happening.Who says we're not talking to him?
