read this morning that the knights had a huge play for panjai jnr , and lodge , now it didnt happen and i have no idea if the tigers had a crack, but at least the knights have come out and advised there fans that they tried to sign players, they also stated they were after mann and another ist grader, what the hell have we been told, YES we upgraded 3 ISP plodders, and we the fans are supposed to be happy. with what we have i think we could be in a battle for the wooden spoon next year.

It's no use talking to the converted. Why don't a delegation of Wests tigers fans approach Cleary and Pascoe at concord Oval on the first day of pre-season training to express how miserable they are feeling with the club's lack of purpose? Any volunteers?

I think that if I volunteered I’d bop him on his chin.

Gus deserves some recognition, for his coach poaching efforts.

Then hed have several chins to bop him on

Broncos won't sack Bennett because it will cost them $1 mil Tigers won't sack Cleary for the same reason how about this Bennett gets released to the Tigers Broncos pay his salary for 12 months Cleary seeks a release to join Penriff who pay his salary whoever coaches the Broncos we pay his salary for twelve months Penriff would be the lossers because they would be paying Griffen and Cleary and Ciraldo just a thought to get things sorted by Nov 1

It’s a crap situation but There is still a lot to play out in the coaching circus. out of all the clubs involved in this, we can still be the ones to put a lot of pressure on the Bronco and on Penriff. They both have better squads than us going into 2019.
I think the WTs management firstly need to decide who they want as coach.
If it’s Madge. sign him for 2022\. This would put an enormous amount of pressure on Penriff. Knowing that they want Cleary ASAP. If we say in the media that we have sign Madge for 2022 today…(obviously put some T&C’s in it) Penriff will want is Cleary released now. As they think they have the squad to go deep into the finals and will want Ivan to coach his son. We will then hold all the cards in that one.
If we want Bennett, do as Lards suggested sign his assistant and start getting a few Broncos juniors over.

JJ Felise won't be re-signed by knights via Barry Toohey of Newcastle Herald.

He's a big disappointment, showed a lot of promise the first few games he played with us, then went down hill from that.

He is going to Souths and I expect him to to do well.

Genuine question: What makes you think that? I had high hopes for him, but he was poor at 2 clubs last year.

Looking at it objectively, this whole shemozzle has only eventuated because of Gould's strong desire to keep Nathan at Penrith at all costs, Ivan's obsession with coaching his son and Nathan's penchant to continue playing with his mates at the club that has given him all of his opportunities in football. You really can't blame any one of them for that! I'm sure that most people, given the same scenario, would do the same.

It's poor form for a coach to do what his done. Lacks integrity in such an important role to so many people.

I would rather have the three players (McIntyre, Smith and Mikaele)elevated to the full squad than an average plodder from somewhere else. Sure , they may all not work out but look at the players from say Easts, St George and Penrith that emerged when given the opportunity.Mikaele in particular looked good in trial games this year and will hopefully be the impact forward we are desperate to have in short bursts from the bench. Still have 2 spots open and possibly more.

the one hole in ur statement is mikaele looked good in the trail games , they were 9 months ago, thus he never came on, and the fact he was on the bench more than in the starting team, in the ISP, does not fill me with hope.

As a development player he was not eligible to play first grade.Coming off the bench he was very good in the games he played in iSP . Still only 20 and had a few injuries as well.

He'll be motivated and surrounded by a huge pack going forward. Seibold appears to be able to transition young players to grade. I'd say the same if he went to the Sharks, they get more from players than we can. We have a lot to improve upon.

good call , fair enough, will give him the benefit, will judge him 1/2 way through the season.

Why is that? Head coach , or other?
I agree with your observation , just not too sure why.

Head coaches definitely backed by strong support staff and junior playing depth. Flanagan is a highly underrated coach who has an eye for a good footballer. Luke Lewis has also had a huge impact on the club. Sheens recognised his skills. Seibold is a breath of fresh air and seems to be able to extract the best from his players.

The Sharks have been linked to Javed Bown and the other centre from North Qld. Typical Flanagan buys who will do well.

I am excited by the young blokes coming

Mikele is a 21 he played 7 games off the bench for NSW cup averagin only 31 minutes making 81 meters and 20 tackles on averag which in only 30 minutes in a team that lost 5 of the 7 games that is impressive, 16 tackle breaks, 10 offloads,

Even more impressive in the last 4 games he really grabbed hold with 110 meters per games in only 33 minutes with 21 tackles still and 13 of his 16 tackle breaks and 9 of his 10 offloads.

I can see him making a real impression next year

Dylan Smith at only 19 and ina FG squad is really impressive and watching him when he came up to NSW cup he was a standout just needed another good offseason in the gym

6 games, 3 tries , 32 tackle breaks, averagin 122 meters (140 in last 4) and a few try assists and line breaks.

I can see him being a future star

No McIntyre is more solid but will be competing with Garner and CheeKam for that backrow/centre role and has potential

I'm prepared to go on record to say that Javid Bowen, same as Justin O'Neill, has very limited ability and I don't believe his career will go anywhere of note.
