I don’t think Benji and Sheens are under any illusion of what Sezer is going to bring. He is not a marquee signing and not intended to be. He is being signed as an upgrade to what we have at the moment.

To be fair to the coaches, what we are seeing is a severe lack of experienced local half back talent.

Is Sezer going to win a comp? Most likely not.
Is he going to win Dally M halfback? Most likely not.

Can he work within a team that has a highly competitive forward pack and provide guidance and more attacking threats than we currently have? I backing the answer to be most likely yes.

I'm not saying Sezer is a good signing, but watching a bit of SL lately it appears to me that it simply isn't a good game for an organising half. It is so free flowing and open, I can see why someone who provides stability to a team can get lost in the game and even at times be a detriment to the team.

So I wouldn't read too much into Leeds wanting to get rid of Sezer. If he can play like Blake Green did when he returned then he will help us.

Sezer is a smarter football player than Brooks , he will be good with Appi leading us , we need a 5/8 that is quick , can play eyes up footy and unpredictable, One solid centre to partner Toa , Ball playing Lock to round it off
Sezer , Taafe , Brad Parker , Lock , And Trindall is we can wedge him out from sharks

Munster ,Moses , Pearce ,Johnson , Brooks , Croft ,and now Sezer
We are working our way down the list of whos available
Don't see anything strategic in it ! Just what you can get .
But please The CEO ,The Recruitment manager and The Coach must be in agreement

We also started with a budget of $1.4m and now down to $550k.
I agree, can’t see how it would work if the recruitment guy is selecting the team?

I have it on very good info that benji met with Holbrook , sheens was not invited to the meeting , so it would appear that sheens is on the nose from the head office

But did TS know about the meeting,and say to BM, you go and have a chat because if we do sign him you’re the main one who has to feel comfortable.
Or was it, as you allude to, Lee and Justin saying, you go and meet with him but don’t tell TS coz we’re freezing him out ?

Yes we do need about 6 new players .
the halfback was and is part of our problem now , Brooks at 5/8 with say Sezer at 7 this season and No injury to Appi and Brooks we would be way up the ladder

Sezer is a competent half. Defends well and a decent goal kicker. Smarter play than Croft or Cogger. Low cost short term deal but will drastically improve the team as we have no competent halves. Spend the money on a backline until players become available.

Well said, competent imo is a perfect description of Sezer. Just wish he could kick goals.
I will add that I think Croft falls into the same category and having them both would give us some stability in the halves.

Still not playing very well. It just looks like it because of the team hes in. No other backwrower makes more errors than him.

We have become the club that generates interest in the NRL not for the good that happens on the field, but all the stuff that happens off the field that amuses some and winds up the poor rusted ons.
I'm convinced we make fans from other clubs grateful that they don't follow WTs.

It is the blueprint for all of our 5 year plans,next year we are going to break new ground by implementing a 7 year plan guaranteed to work
