People got to be realistic we our not getting any of the gun fullbacks , but we could grab a young bloke looking for a chance to play 1st grade , moving bula to centre gives him another arrow in his amour, we need a X factor, salior gives us that , not saying bula is no a good fullback but he is better suited to centre than salior would be , two guns better than ONE

Leave Bula at 1 and let Sullivan play centre.

Given he's paying test matches in October and would then be on holidays it would probably be standard for him to start preseason in January, and most international players will be in the same boat.
 
Good news Rua moving on, was worried it would be Simpkin.

Need to move Mansfield on now imo, pay out Douiehi for next year and we have some room to move.

IMO Oates and Olam like for like in a way. Thought Olam played well on the weekend. Would probably rather him just because we have a bit more depth on the wing but either would be a benefit I think.

Seyfarth, Staines and either Olam or Oates and we may be in line for not winning a third straight spoon….

28 and before SOO his form was great.
Will do the hard yards which we need big time.

Just hope he doesn’t come at the cost of Staines.

Oates and Staines on the wing would be a very nice combo.

Oats is not in bronco team due to injuries and not being nimble enough , Darren Lockyer made the comments in an interview

There is one factor in favour of Oates...

Defense.

He is a winger who has played a little prop and is tough.

We have a competitive or what should be a competitive pack. So many games the opposition danced through our back line. .. Ok our pack should do better IMHO we have a top 8 forward pack.

Oates in for Tupou makes a lot of sense.

This year has played 9 games, last year played 22. In his games this year he cracked over 200mtrs a few games and close to it in some others. He is 28 so should have years to go in the body.

One of our biggest issue is backs who make meters & do the hard yards whilst provide an aerial threat mixed with hold their spot on the wing - Oates would give us that. He is an upgrade on what we have outside of Staines.

His downside is speed and injury history is an absolute concern but if he joined wouldn’t be a retirement contract which is a positive.

If it means Nofa is gone I’m all for it.
 
Can I ask WHAT IS GOING ON.

I looked at the Knights roster:
halfbacks -
Hastings, Crossland, Clune
5/8 Gamble, Ponga, faamanu brown, etc.

We could not pinch someone.

We desperately needed a center.
Braidon Burns is leaving the dogs. for super league...🙁

Look we tried wakeham. it did not work out. Yet we couldn't pinch a bench player?

How can you be, third tier at the Knights and not push for a shot at First grade here. Likewise you would rather go to superleague then play here.

I just find it all sad. Meh we can pay overs for Olam.
