Only young and they might fix it up but having a lot of issues with it already, might make him put his asking price down a little.
A certain fullback running around for the Storm had big problems with his hamstrings while at the WT. With the right rehab he has transformed himself into one of the best fullbacks in the game right now. Staines has youth on his side and can certainly get stronger over the next couple of years. Just needs the right rehab and strength program.
Our center of excellence will fix that 🙂
No, it won't. Equipment is only part of the solution. You've got to have smart trainers and conditioners that can devise management plans to suit a player's strengths and weaknesses and develop the players to reach their peak physical condition.
Do we have such trainers currently? I doubt it. **We largely look very unfit.**
Disagree with that.
We're either unfit or completely disorganised and disinterested in defending. We have the worst linespeed in the comp. By a long way. Why do we constantly stand still and let attackers charge into us? Even people who've never watched league before have asked me why tigers players don't push up to tackle opponents earlier, like every other team does most of the time?
Our pack gets destroyed by most teams. Why? Aggression and linespeed. We lack aggression in both attack and defence. Linespeed doesn't take anything other than fitness. It's running. While of course no team can play at full intensity 100% of the time, every team is able to maintain their energy for much longer periods than we can. Why is that?
Valid question Balmain Boy. I really don’t know, but here’s a thought? It can’t be lack of fitness because their intensity seems to increase as the game moves along.
A chain is only as strong as it’s weakest link.
If there are one or two slower players in the line then they’re the ones who should be earmarked for speed drills. Particularly if those players are older, more experienced, and as such have some influence over other players.
Quite frankly, what makes Harry Grant look much better than he is, is his ability to shut out those negative influences. The question is. how does he do that more easily than other players? Is it because of his temporary status?
