Staines re-injured his hamstring already. Only young and they might fix it up but having a lot of issues with it already, might make him put his asking price down a little.

A certain fullback running around for the Storm had big problems with his hamstrings while at the WT. With the right rehab he has transformed himself into one of the best fullbacks in the game right now. Staines has youth on his side and can certainly get stronger over the next couple of years. Just needs the right rehab and strength program.

Our center of excellence will fix that 🙂

No, it won't. Equipment is only part of the solution. You've got to have smart trainers and conditioners that can devise management plans to suit a player's strengths and weaknesses and develop the players to reach their peak physical condition.

Do we have such trainers currently? I doubt it. **We largely look very unfit.**

Disagree with that.

We're either unfit or completely disorganised and disinterested in defending. We have the worst linespeed in the comp. By a long way. Why do we constantly stand still and let attackers charge into us? Even people who've never watched league before have asked me why tigers players don't push up to tackle opponents earlier, like every other team does most of the time?

Our pack gets destroyed by most teams. Why? Aggression and linespeed. We lack aggression in both attack and defence. Linespeed doesn't take anything other than fitness. It's running. While of course no team can play at full intensity 100% of the time, every team is able to maintain their energy for much longer periods than we can. Why is that?

Valid question Balmain Boy. I really don’t know, but here’s a thought? It can’t be lack of fitness because their intensity seems to increase as the game moves along.
A chain is only as strong as it’s weakest link.
If there are one or two slower players in the line then they’re the ones who should be earmarked for speed drills. Particularly if those players are older, more experienced, and as such have some influence over other players.
Quite frankly, what makes Harry Grant look much better than he is, is his ability to shut out those negative influences. The question is. how does he do that more easily than other players? Is it because of his temporary status?

Talau is competing with AJ for left wing in NSW Cup next year in most peoples teams and yet we wont swap him for the test winger ????

Teaching someone to catch is straightforward. He is young and is a quick learner.

Genuine pace, size and finishing cannot be coached.

Watch JAC scorch Nofoaluma. That's why Kepaoa is so valuable.

If it was so straight forward, why hasn’t he learned it yet?

Vunivalu also scorched AJ.

Given both AJ and Talau are at similar levels of development and not really ready for first grade, I don’t now how we can run with both next year.

If we could loan one of them to Storm for a year and get JAC it’s a big win IMO.

I think nofo too slow for the wing maybe let him go.

That is funny, probably your best.

How many tries does he let in and slow

We recruit these youngsters because it is the only way we can obtain the talent WTs need to improve. Kepaoa is learning so he will make mistakes as will Talau. What Kepaoa has demonstrated so far suggests he will be a diamond.

It's a strategy that isn't as frustrating as what we've done in the past at least. I'm happy to take a chance on youth, some with kick on and some won't. At least it's a better financial decision that will allow us to be more proactive and competitive in the marquee player market. Nothing worse than watching a precious has been, earning ridiculous money and whinging when training or expectation is too high.

BULLDOG BRUSHED

Trent Barrett has told veteran Bulldogs front-rower Aiden Tolman he is not part of his plans at Belmore. This is a surprise considering Tolman’s game against the Rabbitohs. He topped the tackles count and made 230 metres which was the most of any player on the field.

One of the most honest forwards playing the game 230 meters against Souffs some of our forwards haven't run that far all season

Got me stuffed why we do it, we allow the attacking team an easy 10m every set.

Saw Mason Lino off-contract for Knights. Yes, it was the dragons but his goal kicking was very good yesterday - kicking at 80+ percent I believe.

He'll do a job Mikey. I wonder if Joel Edwards is available. We could do with some experience on the edges.

Huh lol this is just wrong...talau is being groomed to be a right centre...we had zero depth on the wing so he came in and did a job....AJ and talau are very different and both raw...for me I’d love to see madden/Blore and talau play on the right side in cc and plan to cemment those Positions in firsts come 2022....also a specialist centre is far more valuable than a winger
