Why are we after Sailor? To play where?

He would be the best 5/8 at the club if we signed him. Still super raw though.

Geez not sure about that. Not from what I’ve seen so far.

Great attacking player. Would have way more try assists, line breaks and forced dropouts than Reynolds or Walters. Doueihi and Mbye not sure how they’ll go but they won’t have as much spark as he does. He’s lightning fast and has nice short kicking.

Agree to all ..
The only issue would be the excess baggage he’d come With ... his old man !

Big Dell sticks his nose in everything

Everything Colombian.

Hopefully, we will target Drinkwater for 5/8.

such a classy playmaker. would be brilliant either at 1 or 6 for us. don't think Payten would let him go though.

How is sailors defence. Don’t recall seeing him play

About as good as any other rookie half, not very good ?

Then Reynolds/Walters are better, at least they can tackle. We need players who can tackle.

Until we stop leaking 30 points a game, we’ll never go anywhere.

He is better than Reynolds and Walters.
Walters will miss a chunk of the season recovering from his ACL at best he is a reserve anyway.

That’s a ridiculous statement. He’s played 3 games off the interchange bench at an ordinary team and missed about half the tackles he’s attempted.

There is potential sure, but he ain’t better than what we have.

So many fans seem to only look at the attack.

Wonder if he would of been in starting spot at storm if he stayed.

I wouldn't say no to Clifford from the cowboys... Only young but looks very quick and smart with the ball.

Would you even go as far as to call him the next JT?

He’s had the odd decent game here and there, nothing to crow about though imo

JT - I don't think so

Well if you run off Renouf often enough, you're going to score tries.

How is it ridiculous so many fans have blinkers on.

I analyze players on and off the ball, for defense & attack structures outside of the play efforts - always have.

Walters misses and falls off a heap of tackles its why he didn’t last at hooker. Because he couldn’t hold his man. The only thing he offers was spark in attack

Reynolds hits players high as part of his aggressive defense style and gets brushed off with ease, he also rushes up and gets beat every game. Again everyone talks about his energy but that also is in attack.

Sailor hits around the waste, he does arm grab but most kids do these days. His attack is better than the other 1.

Defense is at a similar level for all 3. Sailor age, lack of experience, body growth and skill level is however better value. His defense in juniors was fine. He needs time to adapt to the nrl.

I’m comparing apples with apples, thats not ridiculous because Reynolds, Walters and Sailor are all reggie players. Sailor is already a more value add offering than the other 2.

I wouldn’t be in a rush to sign him. Not just cos his old man is a goose, but if he was worth anything, why would Griffin not want him. The guy who a lot of you like to credit with the success of the Panthers juniors. He obviously can spot a young player.

Griffin was in charge of the Broncos development squad under Bennett during those great years, so he certainly can spot and develop good talented juniors.

Same reason we aren’t keeping Benji, salary cap. Norman is on close to a million, Hunt is on a million, they’ve got Clune and another young fella Sullivan as well. Someone has to miss out out of that 5 and it’s sailor. That’s what I reckon anyway.

Sailor looks to be a player whom can make things happen. This is appealing if you have JAC in your team. He needs to brush up on his defence but I view him in tne same situation as Luciano Leilua. Remember also Dufty was close to being cut.

I think there are other reasons why we're not keeping Benji, the leaking defence for one.

If we signed Sailor we'd be doing it after both McGregor and Griffin rejected him. He may surprise but you don't see many players rejected by multiple coaches that become stars.

Also, having his dad talking about the club is the last thing we need with all the leaks we have.

Which is why i would stay well away from Sailor same with any of the Hopoate boys though most of them are more influenced by their mother than their father

You can’t really judge players off dragons team selections. They picked Norman ahead of him all season and it’s clear as day that Norman is useless and only there because of his price tag and like I said they can’t afford to carry a 5th half into next season. He’ll get a gig somewhere else and if coached well will become a good player.

No to Sailor from me. Prefer Burton, Clifford or Drinkwater.

Drinkwater is a strange one, he kinda plays like Benji has been this year. He’ll throw a brilliant pass to set up a try, then 5 minutes later will just boot the ball out on the full. Very hot and cold sometimes. Would prefer the other two you mentioned over him
