Might just be a case of almost a last resort. If we can’t sign any of our targets then maybe we keep Seyfarth for next season as a backup on close to minimum. All about managing the salary cap and the squad.

Agree with other comments, tonight's end was very fitting to what our year was. I'm honestly thankful I don't have to endure that for another week. ?

Doueihi and Brooks didn't look as bad as I'd anticipated but still think we're in desperate need for another forward or two. Also thought a couple of our boys had their best game.

I'm quietly confident with our forward pack next year...

Tamou + Aloiai starting props
LL + Blore starting backrow
Big Mac starting Lock

Musgrove, Stefano bench prop rotation
Twal to sub Big Mac at Lock
Simpkins or a third prop to complete da bench...

Depth in the backrow is a bit of a concern, but If injuries are kind then that could be a very competitive pack.

Certainly hope @Aesopian because I don't think I can take another year of watching bumbling performances due to players being out of their depth or under the pump due to lack of field position or players unsure of their role.

I'm not as optimistic as you due to the fact we'll have players untapped or untested within the team and like every other year, teams around us are only getting stronger whether through recruitment or another year of playing together. But agree with your comment about front and back row depth.
I know I'm probably just feeling like a lot of others, in the fact that effort and overall attitude was the biggest disappointment this year. But we did see some promising signs last night and given we can land a certain speedy strike player, that will be one less worry.
My one wish...besides seeing us okay Finals footy again.... is to see the team play a more complete performance, with more cohesion and proficiency.

What was clear tonight which really was the story all year.

1. We need a fullback with top end speed enter the ?.

2. We need some big tough front rowers we couldn’t handle Paulo. Enter Tamou and Utoikamanu. I

3. Douhiei is a 5/8 and better with Brooks. Exit Marshall.

4. Kepoa starts on a wing and Talau replaces Mbye.

5. BJ has to come back I top condition a game breaker when fit.

We need a goal kicker which is a massive issue.

I thought Tommy looked better than BJ especially in defence

I think both Tommy and A.K are going to serve the WTs very well in the future with more experience and game time. But I have to say I love this Asu Kapaoa kids confidence nothing seems to faze him and you can see he improves with each game his played.

The pace and power and finishing are great. I would like him to move into the centres with Talau.

We need a fullback. Some real positives with the performances of Douehi Kepu and Talau. Unlike most I felt strangely optimistic about the squad after last night. We have a few hurdles to overcome to get the squad we need but there is plenty of room for growth with our squad and they know how to find the try line.
No Mybe BJ Packer and Reynolds on the field last night and when you measure how much they take of the cap and we matched the team that ran third- it gives the performance far more perspective for me.

Watching the Brooks' try, the balance, pace and poise for the final pass reminded me of some of the good All Black centres. The.sooner he moves into the centres the better WTs will be. How many other young backs are at other clubs waiting for WTs to recruit them?
