Am I the only one that thinks we should just sit tight and save all our money for 2022?

Sure we’ll likely cop another crap season next year. But geez there is a bunch of talent coming off contract above.

There were at least 4 or 5 quality fullbacks just from a quick browse.

All of the players we would want would be signed by other clubs well ahead of the time we decide to make offers.

Im sure there are plenty of good young players from clubs outside the top 4 or 5 that want and need an opportunity to show what they can do.

Hopefully Madge is all over the league and not doing a Brad Fitler and concentrating on a couple of form teams and thinking you are going to buy culture by picking players from these sides.

Talent is more important.

That’s what I’m thinking too. On the wing he will be okay as long as Penrith are dominating but put him against someone like Sivo or Tupou and I think he might struggle a little bit. He reminds me of Paps maybe he can come off the bench for thek like he did.

I think we have made many offers to top quality players
LM,JAC,Brimson,Arrow,Lomax
AJ. They ether stay where they are or sign on for less at another club .There is no good reason for this players to come,the club has been poorly run over many years and I don’t think the coach is as good as many think among players from all over the league.I think it’s a myth that Maguire will sign marquee players for 2022 just because we will have the money.Because if it’s just down to money why haven’t any come to the club

Staines resigning for Penrith is an absolute disaster for the Tigers with JAC still very much in the air.

An absolute disaster hey ? Geez imagine if we actually lose a game or two. The drama on here is so over the top.

It's a long time until next season starts and I'm 100% confident that we will have numerous more disasters ala Staines signing with Penrith up until kicking off the new season.

I think the drama is appropriate considering how badly we finished the year. Missing out on Staines also shows that we’re not a desirable free agent destination. If we sign Addo-Carr then brilliant but nothing is guaranteed at this stage

Can't sign players who don't want to leave their clubs. Clearly Staines is happy where he is and Penrith want to keep him. Not sure if we even made an offer but apparently the Bulldogs did.

Its interesting that there is no mention of money just that he extended for 3 years

They are not similar at all mate...

Stains is young, fast, and is a specialist fullback. He is also 20 and has untapped potential.

Jennings was sluggish, been let go by two clubs, and fairly well established as a plodder before we signed him. Neither Penrith or Souths wanted to keep him.

I’ve watched both and for me Burton shows real promise.
Very talented with the ball and I expect him to grow into a very handy ball playing lock forward.
Stains is ok but very much work in progress and not worth the $s which what I’m hearing his manager was shop-fronting for.
