We really should have put the money towards Hetherington over Tamou. I rate Tamou but Hetherington would be our best forward and has youth in his side. The wildcard is Utoikamanu he could be anything.

Overall our prop rotation is set Tamou, Aloai, Utoikamanu, Mikalele, Twal.

You got any intel on Burton? Imagine Bulldogs have a bit of cash in the kitty...

Burton needs a release. He was allowed to negotiate, but only to see his value. If he wants to move he needs to be formally released...

**Which all means, Ivan Cleary has to agree.**

Odds of Cleary releasing Burton to us? VS Odds of Cleary releasing Burton to Barret's Dogs?

believe Tigerballs said that we were planning on getting him for 2022 and while it may hurt us it was the best thing to do in order to snap him up.

Cleary released Blore to us.

once the dogs and titans reshape their rosters, we might be able to pick up some of their offcuts

Would we want any unwanted player from those teams? Would they improve out team?

No, but given our recruitment efforts and strike rate, it is what we will be left with

Unless of course they suddenly want Corey Thompson at fullback and release AJ Brimson

We need to continue to buy players like Kepaoa. The young forward from the Illawarra we are attempting to sign, Jy Rodwell, is another good young player, a former U20s Kangaroo. Sure they lack experience but make up for it in talent.

It was posted on the Sharks' forum. A reliable poster advised the Sharks and WTs are attempting to sign him from Souths. He is another good Illawarra junior.

Not confident of getting Hetherington?

Was told he signed with the Bulldogs yesterday.
They backed out of the Blake Green deal. He will go in as an assistant coach at the Knights.

There is a chance Mitchell Pearce comes back to the Tigers or Roosters next year.

How can they back out, they announced his signing. He”s on their books now.

The article in the news stated Green wasn't sure if he had the drive to get back to NRL level following his ACL reco and was toying with the idea of transitioning to a coaching role with Newy. Bulldogs would not stand in his way if that was what he wanted. It then went on to state how young and inexperienced the Dogs halves would be......which flicked a switch for me.
Two options the Dogs could possibly look at
Marshall gets his swansong (although i would not be shocked in the slightest if he had 12 months @ the Roosters)
or........and this would never come true but i really hope it does, the Dogs decide they do want JR afterall. This is what i will be wishing for Christmas...:grinning:

The whole point of tamou was for a leader - hetherington is not that person. Completely different skill sets but both useful

Wouldn't take Pearce if he got down on his knees and played for nothing.

Don’t worry, if he leaves Newcastle it will be back to the Roosters for sure. Flanagan is not the answer for them at half, they will be looking for a replacement for next season and Pearce would walk straight back in.

Telegraph reporting that we are interested in Tristan Sailor and that we are in negotiations with Seyfarth.

Classic telegraph compared possibly losing Seyfarth to losing Tedesco, JAC and Paps 😂 I don’t think he’ll ever get that good lol

Probably had mail on sailor’s arrest and decided to link him to us for another click bait article.
