Was going to wait until November when the race to offload contracts before the new year rolls around. I dare say a few moves will happen around then (not just us, across the league.)

Just updating this, I missed Tamou :face_with_rolling_eyes:
We closed the year with 29 after CMQ left shortly before the end
We said farewell to 8 including Harry so that’s 21
Momorovski rejoins in theory and Tamou and Uto joins us so that’s 24
We had x5 2020 development players, Simpkin, Madden, Bradley, Cini & Hoffman. Am I correct that the first 4 get promoted into the top 30 while Hoffman is scheduled for 2022? Those 4 would likely be on the base of $115k, maybe Simpkins is a bit higher
If so that’s 28 leaving 2 spots to fill assuming no further movement
That assumes re-singning McIntyre and Seyfarth
By my reckoning I’d say we have in the vicinity of $0.8 million for those two spots so feels tough to squeeze JAC and Harry in without other movement in our roster

Are we sure all those dev players will progress? Kei, Rizk and the young halves we have are very talented. I can't see the Club not locking them in with either NRL spots or dev ststus?

This is the correct list, 4 spots open for next year at this point but would expect those two to sign and fingers crossed JAC takes another spot. The final spot of the top 30 doesn’t have to be filled until mid season

There is one particular characteristic that guys like Grant and B Smith bring to a team, especially a team like ours, they are natural “competitors”, players that lead with a hunger and desire to compete in every aspect of the game. It’s a quality that is innate in them but has to be dragged out of our players each and every week, and that is too difficult to maintain for a season.
These guys push themselves to be winners and in doing so they drag and challenge their fellow teammates to lift and meet them. So, having them in your team is a great advantage towards getting the best out of your squad.
So many posts comparing Grant and Liddle- my view is that apart from the obvious difference in durability Liddle is yet to show the desire and hunger that Grant has in spades.

Dogs are keen on getting JAC, Brent Naden and Matt Burton .. yes one has gotta look at where the Dogs are getting all this coin from .. ?? A few years ago they way over the salary cap when they picked Aaron Woods from us and were forced to lose players mid season to come up unders .. !! All this recruitment by Barrett appears to have appearance of that previous season being over the cap .. !!

They already have DWZ and Cotric on big coin in the backs and makes we wonder why they would want another back on big coin when they have 6,7,9 that need attention more.
It's like they have taken the book of recruiting from our guys from 3 years ago..

Looks like Kepaoa's spot was No 12 which was missing from the list so all of the comments of two spots left with one hopefully being JAC remain true

Well they can't get that Board and front office sorted so i can't understand how anyone can be managing what there spending on the Cap. Reading other sources online the Bulldogs sounds like a dodgy rumour and WT have the best offer.
