Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Well reports yesterday that JAC most likely going to the Dogs and now today possibility but Tigers and souths still a chance to snare him as well. The story keeps constantly changing.

I was not sold initially on him but the back end of the season his speed just makes such a difference and its the one thing we lack.

Not going to put my hopes on it but Trust in the Club that they will get the deal done as POM stated in prior posts.
Have to see what happens after the GF now and nor listen to the dribble from Buzz Slothfield......

Man , there was no reports , it was just that sack of craps opinion .,
Probably driven by a mate in the club , or , addo Carr’s manager trying to get him to take a kings ransom from the dogs , because that’s all they would have to offer . Money . Their halves next year are who ? Blake green , who’s is 36 , and .......... no one . Seriously , you’d be mad to sign there , they have next to no elite juniors in the club , so any potential climb up the ladder is dependant on what nick cotric and Blake green ? I don’t see it .

you would think Dogs will get Burton with their halves situation and/or Flanagan

If we could cut JRey loose I’d offer Flanagan a one/two yr deal

JAC not coming. We have an unprofessional administration (maybe the worst in the league in terms of stature) and a hard ass coach, and a bad roster thats not top eight material. The dogs despite being poor for a while, have success ingrained, with deep pockets, some good purchasers, and Barrett's a nice guy. Looking at all the teams in the league we are probably last in terms of where people want to go. Sad but true. Need a new CEO, board, and either back the coach and pay overs for juniors or get a more liked coach, or just pray for another 2005 perfect storm.

Agree Russell Joey to me is the best half-back ever and good dummy half too. Just not the sharpest tool

Just like Kenny - idiot savantes in their area but a few slices short of a loaf in other areas.

That's just ridiculously stupid.

It is tough being a WT supporter. We are on the improve, I think, but most Wests Tigers supporters will concede that our track record is pretty bad in admin, recruitment and facilities.

I think our Board is okay, facilities getting better, CEO alright, coach worth a shot, and recruitment improving. Fingers crossed it all aligns.

JAC’s signature alongside Tamou’s would go along way to bringing respect back to our organisation.

If we miss JAC, and with not much else available on the transfer market, I’d have to agree with much of what you’ve said.

Serious consideration will be given to renewing my membership under this administration if we don’t sign JAC.

This is possibly the most dumbest and idiotic post I have seen all year. Don’t say a word on this forum ever again, please...

You have to question if some of these posters are even Wests Tigers supporters. More like Daily Telegraph hacks having a sook for being called hacks.

I’m a lifelong supporter but cannot completely support our leadership /admin team,

I’m seeing some improvement but we’re still not where we need to be. Some things we still need addressed

(If we miss JAC) why can’t we attract true marquee talent?
I know we’re contractually bound to multiple home grounds but seriously, find a way
Why did we just fold on the Matterson contract? Look at Storm and JAC that’s how it’s done
Why didn’t we know Cleary wanted to coach his son when we signed him?

Some of these failures are being overlooked by one eyed fans;

I’ll give them credit, Madge, Luciano, Tamou and AD have given me some hope, but we need a big fish.

Fingers crossed this is a turning point, if not, it’s gotta be time for a clean out in front office.

It sure isnt easy supporting the club, but at this point in time they are doing better than any previous administration.

It was only Sheens who made us a legitimate club. Any other time in our history we have been a wreck.

Its easy to go all doom and gloom but things like comparing Matterson to Addo Carr dont really stack up. Lets see if the Storm still play tough after Addo Carr kicks stones and loses the support of his team mates. For sure and certain all the Storm boys still love the guy. Its apple and oranges to compare the two cases.

We are on the right track. Its just very hard to turn around the mess created by the Muppett and the Dog. (Taylor and Cleary)

To get us out of mediocrity I’d like to compare them against something other than our poorer administrators of the past. Surely there are administrators out there who could create a place people want to play, who can attract marquee players, and who can get us to a point where we have a home ground. All I’m saying is my patience with this lot is waning.

Bulldog troll. Stressed after his 10th attempt at the HSC English exam today

I'll stand up again for @trippa101, assuming they are a legitimate WT supporter, which I think they are. Sometimes I feel pessimistic about the WT, with our history I think that's completely understandable.

The comment even had some thoughts on how to fix the situation (which is of course incredibly hard and complex to fix, as we only have some of the important information, not all of it, and I actually believe there is no easy fix).

So I hope you hang around, people don't always agree, and it's not always a good thing to say everything you think (I'm not saying you did that mate, but I have in the past).

Really? You'd dump your membership if WT don't sign a winger?? You really belive that signing a winger will turn the fortunes of the club around?

The best part of $1600 came out of my savings to renew my 2xPlatinum memberships for 2021. And, I couldn't give a rats if we sign JAC. He is NOT a fullback. He IS a winger. I am looking forward to other signing announcements that will strengthen the squad. I'm over JAC.

Sorry but he is more than a winger. He’s a genuine X factor player who is world class. Iron sharpens iron. Signings like this attract sponsors and other players.
