This is possibly the most dumbest and idiotic post I have seen all year. Don’t say a word on this forum ever again, please...

I'll be sure to remember this if you ever post something I disagree with...

Talau has demonstrated that he is a good finisher when put into a little space. He needs to work in the off season with a professional sprint coach and improve his lateral movement. Being able to defend in the centres is the no 1 priority. Being able to hit a gap at pace and set your winger up is the next priority. Good ball skills and being aware of those around you is another. He is a centre but ended up on the wing due to lack of quality in that position. He did well. I'd like to see him paired with a really pacey winger and then you will see a different player. He has a great future at WTs which is why the Storm chased him.

He looked a bit sluggish this year, but he did look like he was running hampered as well.

Our main man..mbye

Where the he'll does he fit on the team next year

He's definitely the odd man out if we get JAC. Unless BJ goes back to Canberra as they could actually use him there again. In that case Mbye to centre.

He can come down and train with the local sprint trainers at Taren Point athletics field. It is a great facility resurfaced last year.

Looking into the future, a backline of the following players would be outstanding. Nofoaluma has given good service to WTs and has done really well this year with the ball. At 26 and on a healthy contract, he should maximise his earnings if offered by another club. Our development programme looks to be healthy notwithstanding Covid. We have exciting backline talent which needs to be utilised end of next year. It puts the NRL on notice WTs is a sustainable and progressive organisation.

We finally have someone showing a bit of good footy in Nofo and you advocate to tell him to take a hike?

Isn’t that the main reason we get ourselves into trouble, he probably hasn’t peaked yet?

The problem that I see with our team is that most of them haven't got confidence, and are tentative.....whereas Harry Grant had so much confidence, he' the sort of bloke we or anyone would want at their club.
So please WT"S get some CONFIDENCE:blush:

i advocate not getting ourselves into further salary cap difficulties by entering a bidding war when our development programme is producing quality players. Stuart's call on Cotric is correct and moving forward a possible scenario.

okay trying to get the thread back on track

just a idea i have
i wonder if we should indulge in another player swap this year, involving billy walters, i cant see where walters fits in the squad this year ( behind simpkin and liddle in hooking role, and possibly Madden and Doueihi in the halves ) , so i think a player swap would be really beneficial for him

im not entirelly sure who we could swap for, maybe a young gun forward

The problem is what club needs a utility who can play in the halves and DH. The only team I can come up with is Canterbury.

Apparently not. These days voicing any negative opinion on the forum will have you labelled as dumb, idiotic or not a true supporter.

Agree totally Paws.

Why some people on here want to turn centres and wingers into back rowers all the time just absolutely astounds me.

It's not healthy being negative all the time, but it is fair and reasonable for fans to be displeased about certain aspects of the club, particularly on-field given repeated failure.

No of course not, but nor is being blindly supportive of every move the club makes. Having an opinion contrary to the majority of others doesn't disqualify one from being a true supporter.

Mbye is a good bench utility. Use him like Melbourne use Nicho Hynes, fill in wherever is needed

Thats not the problem with Mbye. Its the contract term and dollars. One of our worst signings in WT history when you also include the fact he doesn't really hold down any position of his own...

The frustration is ok, it’s part of the joy of being a fan. However, you will cross the line with criticism of the club’s performance because this could lead to improvement. We could then lose our reputation. ?

ball playing lock is code for a forward that can pass.

Even twal passed it in the last game, its not rocket science.

We need go forward not half backs at 13

Agree with this. In his first year at the Tigers ET had a pretty hand passing game but for some reason he put it away. Also didnt have much go forward. Matterson would have been perfect....but....

I want a hard running 13. McIntyre could be that man.

I think its because they are not quite good enough at centre or wing.
