Keary to half sualli to 6 and teddy 1

Knowing the Roosters. If Sualli develops it will be Flanagan/someone else at half, Sualli to 6 and Keary to whatever team will take his 900k contract on.

The team is incredibly fickle. I have no idea why players would want to play there and be flicked the next year.

Maybe relating the last three years and the desire to 'play for a winning club' that this generation values may help 🙂

Has teddy resigned yet. Thought there was a hold up. Could be plan b

Our pack had 17 player in 2020:

7 Props/Middle: **Aloiai (18 games)**, Twal (12), Mikaele (18), Musgrove (6), **Clark (7)**, Packer (7), **Eisenhuth (14)**

8 2nd Rowers: Leilua (20), Garner (17), **Lawrence (13)**, McIntyre (12), Blore (5), Seyfarth (4), Chee Kam (9), **Taylor (11)**

2 Hookers: **Grant (17)**, Liddle (6)

The players in **BOLD** are the ones leaving us and I know I’ve included Aloiai in there but that’s because we realistically won’t see any of him until late in 2021 after his ACL and he likely won’t be himself before 2022

Up front then we lose Aloiai, Eisenhuth and Clark and we replace with Tamou and Uto. You could argue that’s about the same but we would be down to a Prop/Middle rotation of 6 including Packer

2nd row we lose Lawrence and Taylor which is a lot of experience and professionalism if nothing else. Replacements are maybe Kane Bradley and I’m assuming McIntyre and Seyfarth are resigned. We’re probably OK if Blore and McIntyre step up big time and we get something out of Seyfarth. I can’t see we can afford to lose Garner though and again, we drop a body down to a 2nd Row rotation of 7

Hookers, Harry would be replaced by Simpkins but as good as he may be and as Liddle could be, it’s a huge drop off for mine

I guess the upshot of all that is our pack doesn’t look any stronger than this year, if anything it’s dropped a touch

I don’t think we can afford to do that and whilst I get 2021 still has a lot of moving parts, I reckon we need to do a bit more. Harry would obviously be a big piece but a solid journeyman backrower might be useful as well

OK I've just read pages of people posting about BJ Leiluia.

Has anyone heard about any potential new signings for 2021. I read Hooper's article suggesting JAC might be heading to the Bulldogs??? Anything, anyone coming our way for 2021, besides Tamou? I think we all need a bit of hope for 2021. Sure 2022 might be better when we can offload a few overpriced players, but we need a strong 2021 to attract other players. Who will want to come to us if we miss the finals again next year?

Well we have limited cap room so we’ve been holding out for JAC and Harry G

When the Storm finally make some decisions, well know more.

Decisions at Souths look like they are clearing some space for JAC to link up with his good mates at Redfern

Cam got chaired off last week

I don’t have any sources but man I hope our plan B is legit

Our plan B is.... play with what we have ?

Wests Plodders United

Nah, they're an A-League club in Geelong.

Aloiai was cleared of an ACL injury. Will miss some pre season but should be fine for round 1

We could definitely use another second rower, I feel like the club is wagering on Blore and Luciano both killing it and playing good minutes. Hopefully Tamou and Stefano make a difference for us and Musgrove can play more he looks the goods.

Definitely stronger up front then but the rest holds more or less

Harry will be a big loss. I like Liddle as a player but when your pack and halves struggle, Harry is more beneficial to the team than Liddle. In saying that if our pack and halves can step up then Liddle will perform well too just needs some space

Make sure your injections are up to date but if you feel inclined read the Chookpen about the alleged reason why Flanagan is out. Gallen wants him back at the Sharks. All the chat down here.

Go for Liam Knight.

I don’t see how it’s dropped at all . Even with Aloiai out . He’s a big loss ,no doubt , but Lawrence was done and so was Taylor. The other boys, will have a year of growth , Eisenhuth had a contract year IMO ,and he’s never played better . Clark , tried hard , but was slightly off . Blore will develop , McIntyre will develop , even seyfarth will develop. Tamou is better than anything we had this year , and I loved garlic sauce . And Stefano could be anything .
The top end of the depth chart is better IMO. The depth is a little less, but players will step up or be signed . Who thought McIntyre was first grade material this year ? Or even Garner the year before ?
And from what I understand we have some serious players sitting in the farm , just need to mature physically and develop .

If Liam Knight is free to talk we should be at the table. 95% tackle efficiency (highest at souths) & avg over 100m a game. He has the 2nd highest runs per over 8ms in Souths pack. Has a passing game as well.

If we are serious about moneyball he has to be high on the list.

Wasn't it confirmed that Aloiai **didn't** do his ACL?

He didn't do an ACL. He should be fine for round 1 I believe

We don't need another impact forward, for me, he fits into Hess mould, hasn't found his feet yet. He is a work in progress "like a couple of ours" and a couple of years off. Angus Crighton would be my number one pick followed by two young guns Young and Butcher. Things just happen around them "they are footballers" at present cant get game time

If suallii does sign with roosters where are they going to play him he is a 5/8 or fullback
Unless they move Kearey to half I don’t see where they would play him

Especially with two young guns coming up in the halves... It doesn't actually make sense (Unless the kids likes Golf)

can't see where Suaalii fits at the chooks. Tedesco, Keary, Walker and Verrills will be their spine for at least the next 5 years.

Yawnion and WT seem like the most feasible destinations if it's true about Souths rescinding their offer. Brisbane have a stack of good young fullbacks coming through their ranks, if in fact he does end up there we'd be stupid not to have a crack at Niu, Coates or Reece Walsh.
