Rumour doing the rounds that we've signed some pleb from a bad team to replace our pleb from our team.

That’s not even a rumour.

If it's not a rumour then what is it? Maybe a replacement for the forward signed by Titans?

A rumour usually has some specificity. To say that some player is coming from some club is not a rumour.

Meh... woods is still better than aloiai - fits into our prop rotation - couple of experienced heads (Sharon and Tamou) and the young bucks...... I could live with it on the right $ AND TERM

Someone on FB saying Gebbie was at our preseason today. Can anyone confirm?

He wasn’t in any of the photos that got posted

There was a photo on FB that could possibly be him but thats as much evidence as ive seen, which isnt great. But going by Lee's comments yesterday and the apparent impass with Mansour (thankfully) it does seem plausible he could have signed or be siging shortly.

There is a guy that could be him in the group photo, but it could also be any Fijian/PNG/indigenous guy ?

The guy in the group photo certainly isn't anyone from our 2020 nrl squad, not Kei either, he's in an individual pic. Could be a CC/Flegg player training with nrl squad in off season

Yeah most likely is. Last season there was over 50 guys at training including heaps of reserves and 20’s guys plus some train and trial deals.

It would be pretty much akin, yes, but...

I'm big on effect of public appearance. Woods didn't publicly humiliate us (I can't recall him doing so anyway), but Aloiai has. Intentionally with his posting of him mowing the lawn with the accompanied smart alec comment.

I'd want Aloiai to make a public apology or comment something saying he meant no offence to the club before forgiving him. For Woods, I'd be happy if he was remorseful to the club in private, and that'd be between him and the club and I'd never know.

Update from Michael Chammas:

The Wests Tigers are willing to offer Mansour a contract for 2021 and 2022, however the winger is holding out for another year on top.

Wests Tigers are considering Roberts on a one year $150k deal with strict conditions similar to his one at Souths

We have signed Laurie on a two year deal starting from 2022, his manager has asked for an early release but Penrith have denied it.

None of this makes sense? Why are we chasing Roberts and Mansour? Dont worry about failures to sign or immediate success. We need to build and give our youth a chance.

Maybe a performance clause in Madge's new contract has changed his thoughts on looking towards the future. Now he has to try to buy a win (with with almost no cap).

Who would want Madge's job.

There’s also talk eels want Mansour and are willing to release Ferguson early if he can find a better deal. Not sure who I’d prefer out of the two, Ferguson had a pretty average year to be honest.

I’d take roberts for a year over either of them if he’s on $150k.

Not to devalue him, but if we got him turned around it would do wonders for our image.
