If in fact we do get momirovski, yous should make a play for meaney. He won't have a first grade spot in our squad soon enough.
Yous would get him pretty cheap, is quick and has looked good at fullback. Dean pay shouldn't of changed him to the wing. Looked like he was starting to find his feet before he was moved to the wing.

Agreed, I wouldn’t say no to Meaney, lots of upside I reckon.

No thanks. Can barely make that Bulldogs side and they were one off the spoon. Keep momirovski and keep on trying for Laurie

Agreed, why would you go after someone who barely gets into first grade at a weak club.It is those sort of signings that will never improve our position on the competition table

Imagine if Melbourne said that about JAC

If we didnt have that moron JT coaching at the time i doubt he would have been playing reggies and all to keep Rankin in first grade

Taylor was completely obsessed with Rankin's pre-season training and kept him in first grade all season.

Taylor was an absolute idiot

Taylor and I. Clearly defiantly kept us out of finals contention and pushed us back a couple of years with their decision in signing and letting players go

Taylor gets a bad wrap. It's unwarranted in some regards.
He had our attack going great but the team had uncoachable egos.
You had Moses dogging matches, you had Simona fixing them and Robbie's attitude and we only just missed the 8.
Difficult job and not everyone is perfect.

Taylor was a cancer that needed to be removed. The club is still suffering the after effects of the chemotherapy.

Ivan did worse damage with his signings.
Taylor just did as he was instructed by the board and got knifed in the back for it.

No matter your opinion. The facts show he has been our best coach since Sheens.
Just couldn't manage the egos that had been left to run rampant for the previous decade.

Not sure that is fact it sounds like it’s just your opinion.

Taylor decimated our junior pathways something that sheens and others had been years building and if managed the right way would of paid dividend because we built the best junior base.

Sacking blokes like Siro also hurt the club.

The whole Farah for ballin thing turned out a huge mistake.

Taylor is the worst coach From a team I follow.

Don’t think he’d go too well at any club he went to.

If Pascoe didn’t sack him who knows where the club would be

He’s actually a really astute football mind . He just can’t convey his message for whatever reason . From all accounts one of , if not the best assistant in the game . Being the Head coach in today’s game means you need to be all over not just the first team , but whatever is happening at every level . For this reason , Taylor was never the right man for the job . It’s all hindsight now . And if anything it exposed just how much of a dead crap club we were.

I've said this many times, I can see why the club hired him. I went to the information session he ran when we 1st signed him and he knew exactly what our weaknesses were and had a plan to fix them. He was just unable to get his message across to the players because of a lack of ability coaching wise or not being able to get the players to buy in. That is why he is an excellent assistant and a terrible head coach, he can not sell his vision to the playing group

Heard he was good at PowerPoint

Na mate, it was more than that. He was able to identify historical weaknesses in our club, he just couldn't fix it.

No ones fixed it unfortunately... Madge is getting there though. He’s doing all the right things

You are right that no one has fixed, I'll go against popular opinion and my own loathing of the guy but Cleary showed signs he was on track to fix it as well. That is why so many people were upset when he left.

I agree, he did the right things, problem was he stuffed the cap. I really liked him when he was with us

i honestly believe he would have achieved different results with those players than Madge has, they were players bought with a particular style of play in mind, Reynolds was a bad, desperate signing but I think things would have played out differently had Cleary not left.

Very true. It was obvious he could coach, no surprise where he’s got his team sitting now. Frustrating to say the least.

Would’ve been interesting to see how he went. With a stuffed cap and his signing all ageing and slowing down, the longer he went the worse he would’ve gone probably. Wonder if he would’ve handled it like Madge and hartigan have handled it

Would’ve been interesting to see how he went. With a stuffed cap and his signing all ageing and slowing down, the longer he went the worse he would’ve gone probably. Wonder if he would’ve handled it like Madge and hartigan have handled it

I am 100% sold on Hartigan, still have a few concerns over Madge and hope to have those erased in 2021

Hartigan has been the most crucial signing for us in years i reckon, he has set up our pathways and embedded a clear plan for the future

Can't really say the Bulldogs are a weak club. We are one of the biggest Sydney clubs. We've only been down on the ladder since our cap strain where near all our senior players had to be let go. Wont stay down for long though.
Plus meaney is better than mbye and arguably better than Laurie.
And is a decent goal kicker aswell

Lol, You are one of Sydney's smallest clubs. Alongside Manly and the Sharks, as small local clubs.

You've been down the ladder for a decade due to complete incompetence throughout the club.

Signing a hack as coach and offering players ridiculously over priced contracts won't change this.

I like your passion Balmain Boy but your argument doesn't stack up.
Dogs were minor premiers and grand finalists in 2012, grand finalists in 2014 and didn't miss the finals until 2017. 2011 was the last time we made the finals which will literally be a decade if we dont make the finals this year. They are also one of the wealthiest clubs in the competition thanks to their leagues club. They also won the NSW cup in recent years showing success in the lower grades.

It is good to defend our club but be careful throwing stones. We paid waaaaay too much for several players (Mbye, Reynolds, Packer, etc) who we are slowly getting rid of, dogs did the same but are closer to coming out the other side.

I will back you to the hilt, JT is the worse coach we have had, he may have a good footy brain, but he has no idea how to use it. Set the club back years, couldn’t get over his own ego, Fa’alogo gave him what for, we should have heeded the warning. The bloke caused trouble as a player and coach everywhere he went. Easts have even moved him on from assistant coach to pathways or something.

I'm a bulldogs fan.

Yeah Cleary made some awesome signings from his own manager that placed us really well for the future.

Some of the comments tonight ??

Yes another scoop from insideman with benji to the chooks. His latest scoop is the jet will be given a crack at fullback

That would be interesting. He has good passing and obviously pace to burn, but has he played there before? Positioning and defence at the back is very difficult

Goes without saying that if you say something against Jason Taylor you get random negative reps.

So Wests Tigers Forum

I will back you to the hilt, JT is the worse coach we have had, he may have a good footy brain, but he has no idea how to use it. Set the club back years, couldn’t get over his own ego, Fa’alogo gave him what for, we should have heeded the warning. The bloke caused trouble as a player and coach everywhere he went. Easts have even moved him on from assistant coach to pathways or so

Potter was worse. The most ineffective coach ever.
How he escaped ridicule is beyond me.
Not a single improvement in any area of our game.

He actually played there a bit in under 20s, not in senior grade though

Taylor did squat for this club. Bought nothing to it and left in a mess.

Sheen's left the place in worse shape. Backended deals crippled us for the next 5 years. Left a sick culture that only now is being cleaned up.
Taylors only crime is he has the people skills and personality of a gumboot.

My biggest gripe was the lack of junior development but you summed him up pretty well.

Agreed Sheens was his own worst enemy at the end. his time was done.

How many WT coaches have left us and been successful at another club?...exclude traitor Cleary who was only signed to keep his son at the riff....answer = 0
