I don't doubt Naden has talent, however not sure if he can be a consistent quality NRL player for years to come. I must say I haven't had much time for him as a person - he is a lippy tool and a hot-head on the field and off the field has proven to be a jackass.
On the other hand, he is young and maybe he can settle down with the right guidance - the WT's current program may well be a good fit for him. Having him at his best would certainly provide some depth and strike in the centres and potentially on the wing where his big frame could be handy. Perhaps a 2 year deal with a further option in the club's favour.

Are we actually entertaining this thought of getting Naden or is it just rumour?

You've not been watching broncos this season then obviously. Don't comment on stuff you don't know about, he's been very good in a rubbish team. Not perfect but does well

He was damn good last season as well ...probably in Brisbane's best 4 last season

Im tired of paying overs.

We keep investing in young players like Stefano, blore, madden and Laurie fir the bulknof the squad. We need 1or 2 marquees that just that.

We need our Ponga, D fafita or latrell. Thw others will follow.

No more marquee dollars for discards or utility players.

If you want marquee players and you’re a bottom 8 team, you have to pay overs.

Stefano and Laurie have been good investments but I have no doubt we paid overs at the time. Particularly for Stefano.

Luckily those 2 seem like they’re worth it so far.

Jury still out on Blore and Madden.

I don’t know mate. I was told though that Naden is just one of many Tigers are keeping an eye on

People need to stop suggesting moving players around! This is one of the main reasons we struggle. The best teams have a spine that have played together for years! Our spine is 2 games strong! People are already suggesting to change it for next year? Then we start again! 1,6,7 sorted and 9 looks set for a while even tho Simpkin will definitely be an option for us in the near future. No to reynolds. There’s a reason Souths won’t offer him more than one year and he won’t make any difference if we play the way we did first 2 games. Lachlan Lewis weights about 40kg... idk how some people think he can play lock. Would much prefer hastings if that was the case.

2 players that would be great buys are Naden (center or wing) and Nicho Hynes (wing but quality fb and halves depth) hynes wants a full time gig somewhere next year, he most likely won’t get that at the storm. These 2 will give us strike and would be very affordable. We also need a meter eating big bopper for next year.

Nico Hynes is a great Idea . Is he a winger though ?

He plays fullback, wing and last night he played as hooker.

We already have a jack of all trades master of none
We need a specialist winger or Centre if Talau was to move to lock
But I think Talau moving is a long way off
Now getting Nico in to Play 14 would be OK if you rate him over Mbye
And I am not so sure he is better of at his standard yet
But at a third of Mbyes price we'll then yes
As this frees up $ for elsewhere

Put me on record - Hynes is twice as good as Mbye.

If we manage to flog off Mr Moneybags" - Hynes is a ready made replacement who can play 1, 2,3, 4,5 6, 7 and 9 and player every position better than Mbye, also has a kicking game, plays with enthusiasm, good passing game, good defender and a lot more value.

4 Talau / Bj

Or 9 Liddle or Simpkin

I think he would be our 14
I don't see him pushing out a current player unless is at #5
And for that position I think we need a specialist
So would he come here to play 14

I like Hynes as player I just don’t see where he fits here, he’s not a winger I guess he could play there but I’m guessing out of all the backline positions he plays that would be his least suited. We have Laurie at the back AD at 5/8 JTJ & Talau or Joey in the centre’s and Mbye or when fit Walters off the bench. Plus guys like Simpkin and Simpkins coming through pushing for that bench spot. So why would Hynes coming from the storm even glance sideways at us we don’t offer him anything he doesn’t already have at a better club than ours.

The great Jack Gibson once said "you don't weaken one position to strengthen another" so at this stage I think let Laurie develop as a fullback and leave Hynes alone. If Brooks is not the answer find someone else.

I'm not sure who wrote it earlier but agree that our forwards have been good but not great,and at the moment having Twal at lock really helps out in the metre making. Until the forwards dominate I can't see a smaller ball playing lock working, and Hastings I don't think would have the work rate in defence to make it at lock. Twal has been doing nicely so far this year and seems to be offloading a lot more

He hasn’t done an offload all year.

He has been in good positions to do so and looked for it but he doesn’t have support running off him.

Our biggest weakness is our hunger and support play. We just don’t support the ball runner like the top teams do. I wish Laurie, Liddle & Brooks would run off his hip - he could be a real threat with his size, power and he has good speed.

Yeah this is a real bug bear for me with this team, no support play, no pushing up as a team, no bodies in motion. No point a forward having an offload if there’s no one there to catch it. Woods and Tedesco were the the last players we had that actually used this play on more than one occasion.
