According to Pom post we have an agreement but if nothing is signed and Naden’s management are still playing games like Mitchell and JAC did .... then see ya later.
The guy is just an average player anyway.
Let’s just not waste oxygen on crap some of these managers go on with.

Brent Naden's terms for 2022 & 23 have been agreed upon, Talk ongoing to see if there's a chance of getting him this year (made all more desperate now with AJ's injury).
Club has been talking to Isaac Lumelume's management about an early release to bolster this years backline, nothing eventuated as yet, not ruled out as a 2022 signing.

Semi Valemei (Raiders), Nene McDonald (Sharks) & Tevita Funa (Sea Eagles) have been mentioned as possible depth signings before August Cut Off.

If you could get 25 Rds of Nene's best injury free .....

People are kidding themselves if they think Hastings will play halfback over brooks. The bloke played a about 15 games for the roosters in the halves and **guess what they came 14th that year.**


He’s a depth signing that will play Lock of the bench. I see him being more effective at lock than halfback anyways. Just like what mybe has done in a few games but much cheaper.

And you want to judge Hastings on 1 year

Not sure how many times people have to say this, but brooks isn’t the reason we are coming 14th. It’s honestly gone past amusing how stupid some of our fans are for blaming it on brooks. Defence has been our let down. (If it wasn’t already obvious for the nufties)

Hastings will be a better option at lock. Brooks is no 14 especially at the price we are paying.
There’s a reason Hastings has been playing super league for a few years without any nrl interest. I think the Madge is genius for the Lock idea. Hopefully he can be a Munster for us.

Hastings took a roosters Side to 15th.. I don’t remember roosters being that bad in the last decade... mind you hastings had absolute weapons in that team. Yes he was young but he had a better squad than brooks has ever had. I garuntee you brooks players for the roosters that year at 21-21 the roosters would be higher.

I’m happy with the Hastings signing if it means more depth in the halves and hooker. But lock is the position he would be really good for us if he comes off.

It certainly was a dog of a year for the roosters when they came 15th

massive difference between agreeing to terms and signing the thing. Bulldogs have plenty of cash, and Fergo leaving the Eels frees up $600k for them to chase Naden. we might get outgunned here, which I personally think isn't the worst thing in the world.

Naden can play but he brings a fair amount of baggage and plenty of questions about his defence.

Naden is pretty quick, but he is like a few quicks who can chase down an outside back but don’t know how to tackle from behind.

So it's Hastings fault that Roosters came 15th when he was a half but it is not Brooks fault that we don't make finals

Don't forget we had Tedesco Moses Woods in our team along with a few others

I'm not blaming Brooks for all of our woes but he has been part of it
His kicking has let us down on many occasions
Nofoalumas hands and defence have let us down on many occasions
Our forwards have let us down on many occasions
Our centres have let us down
It's not one players fault but it's a team sport and they all contribute to our failures and success
Now I am not saying to replace Brooks with Hastings and I agree that Hastings will probably serve better as a lock
But who knows what Madge has in store
For all our sakes let's hope Hastings plays better then expected
