100% agree with you Lauren..
You add Smith and Finucane and we instantly change to a top 8 team.. It is worth the money especially if Packer and maybe Mbye leaving.. Similar money.

Add those players and there is little change on the ladder. Our problems run deeper than that

Gildart, Pauga and AJ Kepoa, depth.
See what else we can get throughout the off season for cup.

7 Hastings (VC)

Brooks gone. Mbye gone. Walters gone.
Happy with Madden and ZDC as cup/depth or maybe Rizk if he's still around and wants the work.

The 1-7 needs addressing.
We need some strong recruitment to fix this problem.

My one issue with the finucane stuff is would he co.e here. Would he be good for us? Of course but everyone just assumes he would come.

Thats my issue with some.of the arguments on here. The truth is any decent player I'd going to help us we don't have enough of them at present. But they have to want ot come here and I doubt they will unless they are over paid.

Nah,watched tamou closely last year...he was displaced from the run on team quite early,and there was a noticeable shortfall in speed whenever he came on.
He was already well past his best by date,and quite honestly never saw any on field leadership of note..it was Cleary jnr who really led the side
He and Laurie were definitely coaches calls ....which youve gotta back..until they fail

Maybe when Sheens arrives he might recommend a change in the coaching structures. Never thought I would say this but I would not say NO to Flanagan as coach and Morris as assistant.

Yes Tamou only made 30 metres last night but we only had the ball for about 6 total tackles during his first stint. You can't run the ball if you don't have it. Watch his defence, he's the leader there. I've said this before, aside from LL forwards aren't our problem. Finucane, TPJ, Brandon Smith...they won't make tackles for JTJ, TT, Nofo etc

Nofo, Jet, Luciano edge is destined for failure.

I'd rather see:

Maarbani, Miski and Kayne Kalache.
Time to sack all the players and bring in more Lebanese players because they play with passion and are built for the battle.

We didn’t have a lot of ball but to be fair he didn’t get through a mountain of work in defence either. How many tackles, about 20?

He can stop them one on one and moves towards the play. He's not one to boost his stats by going for the flop. Don't get me wrong, he's no world beater but he's no where near the worst either.

I don't get all this talk from the media that we should be signing Finucane instead of TPJ.
It's not that simple. Who's to say we didn't talk to Finucane and make him an offer? It sounds like he doesn't want to leave Melbourne and we would probably have to pay huge overs to get him here.

We need both.
