Scott isn't exactly a great defender. He would actually be our best centre - just don't see him working out long term

Surely they don't sign him just for this year though.

He averages 90% tackle rate...this season.

Eh, that stat isn't a super effective way to measure an outside backs stats. Doesn't really show if they're rushing up and missing tackles or letting people run past them and he struggled for raiders early this year

He has averaged 85-87 all his career. He also excelled in Origin defensively.

He can defend.

He is a long way from being a decent bloke though...

Sorry, meant to say he was very good in big games like finals.

A good read below on him from a couple of years back. He has legit issues.

Our problem is every bloke with issues we have brought is has failed so far. On the plus side, he is much younger than the others were.

Ok , I get all the criticism to wards the club for signing this bloke.
But to be fair he is young. Alot NRL players have done
dumb stuff on and off field and are in the game now killing it.
If we do sign him lets just pray that he gets himself together
and does his job how he's supposed to.

Happy to give Scott a go as he would be coming at a discounted rate (Raiders would be paying some freight) and the way we have purchased recently I think we would add a CO in his contract.
We have shit at the moment so get him off the drink and training under Madge I think it is worth a go. Plus its something for us to talk about.

He defended well at Melbourne sure. Looked big average defending outside that system. He'd easily be our best centre but how long would he last
