could have a flow on effect for Egan Butcher, who we've offered a contract. Watson signing on could potentially affect his minutes off the bench, which should put us in with a good shout. from what I've seen he's a player that will definitely improve our pack and will play consistent first grade here at the very least. I guess we'll see.

If the Chooks want to keep Butcher they will. Cap will not be a issue. The only hope we have, is he may be tempted by the opportunity to play FG

Agree.... They have a lot of quality players in that squad and the main reason he is even playing now is because they are so short with injuries.. Next year he will struggle I think to get game time

the value of some of our players is definitely going to rise in the coming years as they begin to fulfil their potential. signing Blore and Simpkin early in the season was a great move by Hartigan and co. Luch, Twal and potentially Talau depending on his season next year will all be in line for upgrades.

Would I be breaching any unwritten rule by starting to down vote posts in the SIGNING SUGGESTIONS AND RUMOURS that contains any of the following?

4. We lost Tedesco, Ado-Carr, Paps because x,y,z
5. (Insert painful negative non signing related post here)

I love general chat and banter… I’m just saying that some on this forum come across like a reunion of ghosts moaning a Sinead O’Connor tune at a funeral.

Honestly I hate Blocker now…

Instead of talking crap about us, why can’t he just go ahead and support us by going down to the club and offering assistance.

Not only that, maybe giving some of the people we’ve went after in recruitment like TPJ and Finucane and say hey, come join us.

I like Blocker, but I only hear him when he's commentating. He usually seems pretty spot on about stuff in matches, particularly when discussing forwards. If he's critical of the club, it's probably fairly justified as we've not been good for a long while. Maybe I just save all my ex-tiger hate for Benny Elias (who was my favourite player growing up).

You're looking at things as if everything is black and white. Everything is a shade of grey.

There are too many coincidences here. He's obviously not happy. Will he get a release in the end? Who knows. If he does well he go to us or a glamour club? Who knows. But he's not happy and certainly appears to be doing what he can to get out.

Two of the best Langer Trophy players this season come from Keebra Park SHS, a renowned hunting ground of NRL talent scouts.

Prop Herman Tofaeono (Wests Tigers) and hooker Blake Mozer (Broncos) were young guns who both made the Queenslanfd 16-18 years schoolboys merit team earlier in the season.

Other NRL contracted players with the Keebra squad were Immanial Kalekale (Titans) who is Tofaeono’s starting prop partner, edge backrower Seth Nikotemo (Titans) and middle forwards Del Wigmore (Panthers) and Arama Hau (Titans).

Pick of the crop: Dummy Blake Mozer is a gun.

Marsden SHS’s players will be spread across seven different NRL clubs, with South Sydney, the Storm, Titans, West Tigers, Canberra, Parramatta and the Brisbane Broncos sharing the talent.

The Rabbitohs has astute Queensland schoolboys merit fullback Leon Te Hau signed along with Braydon Teuila, while the Canberra Raiders snapped up pacy outside back Teapo Stoltman and the Storm signed quick silver winger Tea-Rani Woodman-Tuhoro.

But the Tigers have also swooped on captain Chris Faagutu, one of the players of the competition, and the reliable Kiernan Tempest who is a David Stagg-type player.

Parramatta have prop Lance Fualema and the Broncos edge backrower Nathaniel Tangimataiti, another Queensland schoolboy merit player.

But the Gold Coast Titans have been most active, securing Dominique Sandow,

Sione Foutika, Xavier Stowers, Will Semu and Taelon Te-Shiu Hopa.

Pick of the crop: Year 10 students Will Semu and Taelon Te-Shiu Hopa were exciting talents, but big prop Xavier Stowers has probably made the biggest impression.

you're pretty across all the youngsters in QLD mate, have you seen much of Tofaeono, Faagutu or Tempest?

Mate I only see SEQ games & haven’t seen that many this year since Mal Maninga Cup Faagutu would be close to the best forward in SEQ, quick good footwork & finds his shoulders,Tafaeono is a big lad that can play before & after the line, both were good for South’s in the Mal Maninga. Tempest will be a favourite here, he is like Dallas Johnson not as flashy but fights for everything. The club has done a great job grabbing 3 quality players when the majority are staying with Qld clubs due to COVID.
