Two schools of thought going on over the last few pages.

Yes Prop is not a position we lack depth or quality. It is something that will only improve with the natural improvement of our young players.

In saying that Thompson is a real quality player and i hope we are a chance to sign him. We need to improve the squad in any way we can, not just sit around waiting for the next Latrel Mitchell.

We are in no position to be cute. If a quality players comes on the market and we are a chance we take him.

You work out the roster after the signature.

Yes I agree. And because we have been strict on not over-spending, if we signed a new prop like Thompson we still have plenty of money in the salary cap for other positions - it's not an either or.

Already had McQueen's. But yeah your right.
Mbye 350-400k? , Packer 650k, Leila 550k. 1.6 mill there already. Where in a good position.

I don't like talking like this because if we think we've got the money and just spend it stupidly it disappears.

I'm good with signing Thompson but we shouldn't give him another year on inflated dollars.

centre, back row, lock, backup fullback, winger. those have to be the targets.

We have learned that ball-playing locks are extremely important to any team's attacking structure. Cam Murray, Isaaiah Yeo, Victor Radley & Jake Trobojevic are some of the best ball-playing locks atm. Asiata's ball playing skills is just as good as some of them - he can also play five-eight. I didn't quite understand why the Broncos weren't using him that much before he went down injured. However, I'm not surprised the Dogs are after him - obviously Gus sees something in him that Walters don't. That's why Gus is one of the great minds of our game.

Luke Brooks fits this mold.

We definitely need two class centres. Nofo needs another stint in reserves honestly. So would be looking for another winger as well.
