Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

I feel like Curtis scott would be a good buy for the club (if he keeps his head straight) the nrl loves a redemption story jake friend for example hes still young and has alot of talent offer him a 2 year deal with a option for a 3rd for 400k i think he was on 500k at Canberra

Dogs are gonna be cutting big money players will probably be Flannigan or Nick Cotric I don't see us going for either of them Dylan napa is out the door to the bronx we just need one more signing and keep the rest for next season

@compensate I am not sure I believe.
But i like it.

Never ends well when we're the 1st club linked to a player...

We are the first linked because we have cap money and heaps of spots that need improving lol.

Was it Ennis who said that he had rejected us last week?

Dunno, I have lost all enthusiasm for the year and I don't listen to that jarhead even at the best of times.

He is possibly the most annoying person in sports television. Cooper Gronk is bad enough but at least he doesn't talk all the time. Ennis just won't shut the hell up and it's constant over-acting: "oh ho ho...wow" in every fend or jink or step.

Also cannot pronounce his words properly, says things like "bruwyunt" instead of brilliant, "ruw" instead of "real".

yup exactly everything ennis said is correct, we simply cant attract anyone and now its becoming so evident no one wants to come to Tigers.. Im not bothered about Thompson on that money but i just cant see any future and that is so worrying. The young kids look good but they cant do it on their own..Questions have to be asked of Madge now but nothing will change as we all know. Pascoe will just say we have a centre of Excellence next year and the club is going well financially. Unfortunately all we care about are on field results and Pascoe doesnt care about that.

Good old Ennis - always good for a baggin' (he did it on the field like a grub, and is doing it off the field).

What is the solution Ennis?

What do the Tigers do to attract players Ennis?

Oh! they don't want to go to the Tigers, the tigers aren't interested in being a retirement home (like they have been), the Tigers just aren't interested in buying losers or the Tigers aren't interested in paying massive overs (like they have previously).

Well, well, what is your answer dopey? Big on putting the boot in but like most of your comments on fox, you don't back it up with answers.

As a commentator or analyst - you would make a great bricklayer.

I suggest you leave us to work out our problems and try and help the "Dogs" work out how to stay under the cap.

Agree mate.
Easy for these flogs to bag us but no solutions.
I'm sure they have seen or been in similar situations in their careers

Well all the ex footballers turn commentators are usually blokes who had successful careers, you don’t see many Nofoalumas or Brooks type players end up calling the game, what would they bring to the table besides a wealth of knowledge about losing.
And I agree they don’t really offer solutions but can you?
I can’t.
Until we start winning games and blood some more quality juniors who can actually play as a unit we are not going to attract the personal we need.
If it was a job and you had the chance of joining a successful business in a Coastal town like Newcastle or Cronulla or Bondi, Or a place out west that struggles year after year what would you choose?
Penrith are a great example of what we need to emulate to be where we all wish our club could be.
Stack the team with juniors that have played together for a few years and know each other, create an atmosphere they don’t want to leave, give them time to because it won’t happen overnight.
This ideal that buying a crop of big names and becoming dominant is not an option for us so stop thinking it is.
Juniors are the only way this club will ever get out of the cellar.

This is what we need to keep together...

How come when we try and wield the axe players just stay and soak up the cap under blankets cause their cold. These players he wants gone will go like when Bennett sharpens his axe they always go, not us though ?

Let's just wait and see. You can only wield the axe for contracted players if someone else is willing to take them on. For good clubs, it's not impossible to find suitors for your off-cuts. For low clubs, it is near impossible.

Shaft bloody Brooks. If there is serious truth to the club backing Madge etc into next season, Brooks CAN NOT continue with us. Pay whatever it takes to get him somewhere else. Heard Brett finch today say in terms of the club coming out and backing him, he said “why would you ? Why are you backing this player who’s failed for almost a decade and why does he want to be there still ? “ seriously shaft him. Name any great half to put beside him at our club and he would still struggle. It’s deadset the most toxic relationship I’ve ever seen.

Hi YC But you have to be the biggest Brooks Hater on here. I am sure you have made over 1000 hate posts scattered over every topic.

False.

YC is honest with his options and they're pretty fair imo.

Stating the obvious on junior development and it is obvious given the appointment of Tim and Noddy, the question then becomes who is the right NRL coaching team to develop the new generation of WT players? Is it Madge, Snoop and McRae? Should the club be comfortable giving them the reins or should they also consider other alternatives?

Curtis Scott would be a very Tigers signing

Constant trouble with the law and alcohol issues

Hasn't played good footy in years

Was let go by a strong club

Looking for "one last shot"

I'll pass even though we need centre's. Go for someone younger and smarter. I hope Curtis gets the help he needs though

Ben is a very articulate young man. Very strategic in his thinking and thankful for the opportunities in the Wests Tigers system.

All these Jersey Flegg boys and HM & SG Ball players and the Juniors to come are being destroyed by this bloody Flu!

This is the real human tragedy folks - our kids are being denied their natural growth as humans by a dodgy bug no more dangerous than the Flu or Common Cold.

The other thing our fans may overlook are the quality
Young blokes we have in the side already.
If it was me I wouldn’t have gone out and signed Tamou or Ofahengaue last year I would have been scouring through NSW cup looking for young talent that matched or exceeded what those blokes bring.
Seriously if we keep repeating history we’ll end up with another 300 game busted prop like Packer or Tamou.
Another troubled second rate centre like BJ or Roberts.
Every year there are more rookies killing it in first grade and they are cheaper!!!!
Look at Laurie playing reggies signs on for peanuts and is our best player by far!

yup exactly everything ennis said is correct, we simply cant attract anyone and now its becoming so evident no one wants to come to Tigers..

It can't continue like this.

Curtis Scott would be a very Tigers signing

Constant trouble with the law and alcohol issues

Hasn't played good footy in years

Was let go by a strong club

Looking for "one last shot"

I'll pass even though we need centre's. Go for someone younger and smarter. I hope Curtis gets the help he needs though

I'd back the bloke what he ever done apart from hurt himself and people that have deserved it.

- smashed Walker. Everyone's dream
- smashed Bateman must punchable face

I don't think he been violent against anyone that hadn't deserved it.

In saying that we need to develop and nurture the bloke. Time to grow up.

I wonder where all his anger comes from. Bundeena must be pretty hardcore
