Ricky did it and resurrected the Faiders in 2019 with John and George. With Jackson and Oliver joining us in 2022 it's a no brainer, instant chemistry!
There is NO chance of getting either Batman or Thompson for under 450k as they are international players but that's just my opinion.
Batman 500-600k might do it and Thompson 650k with Dogs contributing a 200k first year to make up his current salary of 850k. We need to be realistic as we are not a top team and guaranteeing them finals etc..
Bateman is only worth $450k max in my opinion, he hasn't looked great at Wigan this year - but he was a game changing 11 at Canberra. It sounds like he realises that he made a mistake going back to England and he wants to resurrect his NRL career.
If we sign him we should add conditions to his contract, $450k year 1, $550K year 2 (performance based) and then a WTs option in year 3.
Luke has a problem that downgrades his worth. He doesn't play by the rules and has missed 10 weeks in suspensions over the last 2 years.
In saying that the right coach will bring out the best in both of them.
Question is, is Madge that coach?
Madge for me is the right coach.. He has just gone through hell and built all the foundations to have this club successful long term and not a quick fix (like Dogs) so for me deserves a shot and getting some of the glory that is coming.

**The dogs are in trouble, they can't afford to carry on with there to offer Asiata?**
ASIATA’S DOG SWITCH OFF
The Bulldogs bid to land John Asiata appears to have fallen through due to salary cap constraints.
The Dogs have pulled out of talks to land the Broncos forward owing to the lack of cash available in their salary cap.
Gus said on Twitter they have no money left for next year and the last spot will be filled with a minimum wage player.
