September and not one player signed from one of the other 15 NRL clubs

Enough said ....we are doomed

that would say nobody wants to play under Maguire

Or the WT's ......

think the right coach could change that but we need to shell out the dollars to a player to make the first big kill happen

Brett Finch pointed out the folly of not signing Finucane.
He admitted that Finucane would probably be cooked by the 4th year but by then you've had 3 years of him setting standards and holding other players to that standard. His signing also would've set in motion the signing of other players reluctant to join the club.

It was short sighted to not go huge after him and Hynes.
Those two would've brought change with them.

I’m still mystified why there was no play made for Hynes. Pretty incompetent.

Because we have all of Hynes' positions covered? You are competing with Sharks who let both their recognised first-start halves go (Johnston and The Chad).

Hynes could be a ball playing centre like Jamie Lyon, but better...

McInness is a 9 that could've been our 13.

We dropped the ball on both signings.

McInnes we shoukd have nailed
we thought we had hooker under control with Liddle and Simpkin we need better a lock / hooker

Move Brooks from halves ..
Hasto & AD new halves pair
Brooks to 9 is an open option
That theory has been speculating
Liddle bench
Jake Simpkin in reserves imo - still a baby
If we lure Sims he can play lock

Easily makes every Top 6 side.

Roosters due to injuries maybe
parramatta maybe instead of brown
I did not mention top 6 as a centre I mentioned as a 6 or 7
he is not a top number 6 he is a centre at best

He's also just turned 23 and played about 15 games at #6 in the NRL. With his size, skillset and work ethic, he's every chance of making it to an elite level. The only concern are the injuries - two ACLs by his age is worrying.

Took Wighton a number of years to transition to 5/8 and really only had 2 decent seasons at 6 to date. No reason why AD can't become a legit gun 5/8.

I am almost certain Tigers are patiently waiting for the inevitable movements that will occur after the finals. You only need 1 or 2 movements to set off a cascade.

We have nothing to "sell" to potential recruits except $$$..and its still nowhere near t enuff ,even for even good players let alone marquees!!
Its why weve lost our best two forwards in recent seasons,and why we get left at the alter by targetted recruits
We have no finals possibility dream...no fun playing environment as portrayed by Tigertown..and what appears to be a lack of discipline in the playing group which will possibly limit rep chances.
Need some major changes in the culture,which is achievable with some leadership changes in both coaching and playing group.

Our playing group, for the most part... are a close knit group and seem to get along really well.

Our COE is going to be amazing.
Our juniors coming through are and have always been a talented bunch.

We have amazing, passionate, loyal fans...

The only thing we don't have, is on field success.
A few pieces need to fall into place to change that.

It only takes one player to get it cracking.

We missed a few, in the recruits the sharks signed recently.... but yeah, things won't pick up until we start spending some cash on players.

Tell that to the gun players who left mid contract...
tell it to those that stopped taliking to the coach mid season...
and those who were thinking about signing but went elsewhere.
Seems pretty clear they werent buying what you articulate what we have to offer..
As i said,a change in leadership in key areas will change things..but the current dream is over until we do just that

If Ciraldo is the preferred option then will be playing the waiting game. Have to be careful how we negotiate with Penrith due to our already shaky relationship

Just a shame blokes can play with passion when they pull on the jersey.
Or the juniors like Teddy want to stay and drive the success.

Think weve already initiated discussions with our primary target(and others),and the major stumbling block will be who picks up the tab for Madge and emmachissit...!
Needs to be resolved asap so we can recommemce our currently dormant recruitment drive..
