I think we need woodsy guys. He's a leader and he'll hopefully turn the media stories into something more upbeat.

Him wanting to come home gives us a positive story that we desperately need to help break the back of recruiting. Not a marque signing that we really need, but someone who could talk about how much he loves the club.

Looking at benji last night, I honestly think we got that one wrong.

How? He wouldn’t have played any better this year in our mediocre squad. He has a lot of cover at Souths to hide his deficiencies.

I get it. Bringing Benji and Robbie back was a way to start writing the wrongs of the past. Benji will most likely retire at the end of this year even if he was to go around again he has shown how beneficial he has been in a limited capacity.
Problem with Benji was twofold. Squad space (Reynolds had t yet left for England and I’m sure that was one of the things Madge was hoping would of got sorted before giving Benji a direct answer) the other was involvement. We could of played a whole year with Benji and Brooks in the halves but probably the better scenario would of been Benji as 14 with either Mbye or Doueihi as centre:5/8. Would Benji have been up for the demotion?

Yep i’m all for Elliott joining Tigers , he can add plenty , the bloke is a solid footy player .I believe if Madge wants him onboard then we should be onboard as supporters

Another project player. We've had great success with Joey and co,

I’m gonna propose a theory. Feel free to disagree. But I think the number 1 reason why players like BJ and Roberts failed is out of laziness. I don’t think Elliot is lazy

I agree with you on BJ. I don't believe Roberts is lazy. He lacked opportunity in our backline.

Elliot is not lazy. If it was a one-off occurrence I would be interested. But it is repeated.

Tbf, he’s been an idiot, but hasn’t broken any laws.

But that behaviour has the potential to further undermine a fractured dressing shed.

That’s a crystal ball outcome based on a proposed future scenario. If he rehabs properly and puts all his focus into becoming a leader there is a really good footballer there.
Just not sure what position to play him, lock or backrow. I think until our defence improves Alex has to be somewhere in the starting side.

I would tend to believe repeated past behaviour is a good indicator of future behaviour.

Elliott isn't really that good to accept such a risk. If he was a significantly better player he may be worth the risk.

If you are going off past behaviour you would remember that Elliot was a very good footballer not too long ago.

I think it’s a sad indictment of what this club has delivered to us over the past decade that people actually think Elliot is an option that would add value. Guy is bog average and was playing for one of the few teams going worse than us.

His good is very average but we're not discussing his ability on-field.

Big pass for me but I hope he finds another club.

Disagree.

A bit of synergy to the South West which could be important for both club and player.

The club has incredibly low standards and it’s rubbing off on lots of fans

Every hiring, every talk it's CENTER CENTER CENTER.

Unless we are talking a really solid defender who can really up our abilities, why on earth would we hire a Center!
Elliot makes more sense and to get a good pipe from the dogs forward pack makes sense.

Elliot? Are you sure?
What about Darren Senter?
Don't be fooled by his name he's not a Center.

Big whoop Elliot loves a drink. Still plays with heart and was a young leader for that dogs side. Bring him on the cheap cause he’s just been sacked, play him off the bench as spark at 13

His teammates wanted him gone. Says everything you need to know about the bloke. He's not a leader. He's a piece of trash

No one's trash @Camel2281
Some of us make more mistakes than others [usually due to a bad upbringing] but no one is trash.
But once you tarnish your reputation it's pretty hard to get things rite again.
This bloke by the sound of things is a pretty good player.
A new start at Wests Tigers, with the rite players and the rite coach as a mentor, could just be a very good move for him and a good acquisition for Us.

@GNR4LIFE and others are right...

BJ was lazy.
Roberts, probably not lazy but just no longer good enough.

Elliot tries hard.
Gets involved.

He's not Murray or Yeo ability wise but he always puts in.

I once read he's P4P one of the strongest people in the NRL

Harris Tavita to hit November 1 without a new deal. Warriors holding off on resigning him.
With talks of Walsh or Manu playing 6 in the future we should seriously look at him.
Big, talented, strong half with an exceptionally good long kick on him.
I’d be happy to sign him either next year or the following to put pressure on our other halves. Would pair well with Hastings or Doueihi (Tavita is a left foot, left side player)

How about we just go for Manu.

You want Doueihi to end up being our halfback?

Maybe nowhere, who knows but Harris Tavita can start in 23 if the club does plan a move away from Brooks.

Harris Tavita would turn out to be the best signing Wests Tigers have made for a few years.

Warriors halfback Chanel Harris-Tavita will test the market on November 1, with the club holding fire on offering him a new deal. The 22-year-old is off contract at the end of next season and under NRL rules he’s free to negotiate with other clubs on a deal for 2023 onwards from November 1.

His good is good, don’t fool yourself. We were along with 2 other clubs considering signing him to a long term deal last year.
