Jon Reuben.

One to think about?

I think he is the same Jon Reuben who Koro did for pace in the GF against the Raiders when Todd Payten coached the team to the Premiership. It's on the Koro highlights reel..

That one person who wanted him here may be disappointed.

I wonder if the Panthers panicked and ponied up the $800-900k that was supposedly being thrown his way. Fingers crossed.

I couldn't think of anything worse than Kikau here on $900k. he's a myth. Penrith or the Dragons can have him.

Nikora wants to go home to the Warriors.
Apparently Souths have asked about Brayden Trindall.

Which Nika’ are you talking about the Sharks one or the Eels one? I’m pretty sure most on here we’re talking about the Eels one.

The Sharks' second rower. The Sharkies play a tough brand of football in the forwards. Many believe he is too small for their pack. I like him as a player. Trindall is a very good prospect and Souths have a huge problem in the halves for next season.

BTW on Twitter;
Mail is Niukore going to Warriors 2023, or prior if he can get a release. Has a few high shot / report issues but imo he’s been one of Eels best physical forwards this yr.

Anything said about who our coach will be.

Keen to know myself... Fingers crossed we know this week

The Pom has indicated that Madge would hold his coaching position.

The Pom might be off the mark on this one.

I hope so mate, Ciraldo is the bloke we need, even though you don't like the idea of a rookie coach. He has Penrith as the best defensive team in the NRL, he has respect among the players, and he could attract some quality players. He basically is everything Madge is not, and we need

Barrett had the Panthers attack looking pretty good too…didn’t transcend to the Bulldogs.

Barrett can attract players, Madge could only dream of, and Penriths attack revolved around Cleary, Penriths defence doesn't revolve around one player, so completely different

Is it Barrett who can attract them, or the Dogs? Is it Madge who can’t attract players or is it Wests Tigers?

I think it's clearly the WT Club. The leadership, management, resources and structures of the Club; a reluctantly merged, partisan, divided and unaccountable Board that runs the joint is the problem.

Jack Manning-Bancroft got panned by many on here for exposing the artificial and convenient nature of the WT narrative since the merger. It's superficial rubbish. Three-word slogans that even Tony Abbott would baulk at.

By contrast, did you read the comments of Trent Robinson after the Roosters were booted out ingloriously at the hands of Manly? He said that the resilience, courage and efforts of the 2021 squad would strengthen the Club into the future; not the "team", not "him" as coach, but the Club.

That's what we don't have. And, it's got nothing to do with the coach.
It's the shambolic, incoherent and selfish leadership of the Chair, CEO and Board that stifles any positive future for the Club, in it's current state.

If Madge is gone, it will be interesting what the club does for the next coach I.e open the purse strings, that they never afforded Madge.

Is this a joke, he got to offer Latrell over a million a year, JAC, TPJ, Finucane got offered good coin, there were more, he had money, but no decent player wanted to play under Madge

Latrell didn't want to come here, he preferred Souths (I think family and Bennett)? I thought JAC & TPJ were offered more money by the dogs? Did we actually make an offer to Finucane?
We have been notorious for low balling players, I am not against that, but we need one?

If we had landed Latrell we would have had no money for anybody else. It would be one star (who is often lazy) surrounded by a team of minimum wagers. It's a different story now that Mbye and Packer are off the books.

The point was Madge did have money and quite a bit to buy players, he couldn't land any, so he had to get young players

At least 2 of those players have been reported, factually, as inflating their prices by using WT as a supposed suitor, when they were never coming. Hard to blame the club or Madge on those players.

Didn’t want them anyway. South’s are lamenting Latrell, Finucane is past it, TPJ is a small minute cameo at riff and JAC is an over priced winger. Saved our cash.
