Looks like we have recruited well from QLD with the focus on pathways

The Wests Tigers have six of the best – Queensland schoolboys merit prop Herman Tofaeono (Keebra Park SHS), 2021 joint Justin Hodges medallist Chris Faatugu (Marsden SHS), outstanding Wavell No. 13 Junior Taungatua (Wavell SHS), middle forward Mou Taumaletila (Marsden SHS) and utility Kienan Tempest (Marsden SHS) who is a David Stagg clone.

Throw in brilliant Kirwan SHS outside back talent Dudley Dotoi from Far North Queensland and you have a bag full of good kids headed to the Wests Tigers.

And yet the majority of the forum are still carrying on like Jason Taylor is running things.

People need to wake up to the fact that this club is indeed doing good things and stop blaming them for the past mistakes.

Maybe the club should communicate a lot better with there stake holders … if this younger talent is on the books TELL us ,explain what’s happening and the direction the club is taking . COMMUNICATION costs nothing it’s easy but the most fundamental resource that organisation do not use effectively.

Still feel it wouldn't matter. Most people are still hung up on Josh Addo Carr etc

I actually met Addo Carr on Cup Day. Lovely fella. Asked him why he didn't come back to the Tigers and he said we didn't want him

At the price he was asking...

Can only take a man at his word

For sure. I just recollect a heads of agreement or was that latrell?

Yes JAC is a winger,

But **he is the best Winger in the Game** and was willing to come here when very few weren't.

**I feel this was bungled** and his recruitment would have gone along way to giving the WTs legitimacy as a decent club that is on the way up.

Cry me a river, he's a turncoat who left us and then dogged us a second time 4 the Bulldogs. Id rather give the money to nofo who displays loyalty. Instead people just want to put crap on nofo and talk about how we missed jac. So typical

BAHAHAHA yea okay champion, see whether the mediocrity at this club will take you anywhere. What JAC would of brought is bigger than his onfield performance. Watch the improvement of culture at the dogs... oh wait I just read you'd rather pay nofo, yeah good day smart fella ahahahah

Good stuff champion keep reminiscing about a Bulldogs player.

Im not champion, but you keep being satisfied by Nofoaluma, you bright fella

Wrong forum ow intelligent one you speak like a dog's fan.

funny thing is, you speak like a typical tigers fan, enjoy nofos defensive reads in 2025, provided you'd rather write him cheques for showing loyalty. Please for gods sakes lmao

You’ll be in enjoying him in 2025 too.

I reckon this is nonsense. I reckon JAC lied to your face.

He did I know that Tigers wanted him and he was interested but then the Bulldogs offered more money and an extra year he didn’t care about the year he just wanted the money the Bulldogs were offering him from the Tigers if the Tigers matched the money they were offering him he would have signed with us but they weren’t interested as they said they were going in a different direction so that’s why Tigers missed on JAC

Thanks for that info mate

Cleared up a lot of crap from other posters on here

Yeah just find some random with a story that fits your agenda and place the 'cleared up' tag. Nice. How about I come up with one, we simply low balled him and didn't give him his worth. Yeah that clears it up. But whatever fits your bill huh

I feel greed made his mind up

Totally, and he felt it was okay to play us to push his price up like his mate Fatrell did.

Hope we don't sign Cotric, as that would ease the Dogs troubles.

We have enough average backs without adding Cotric

Hi - first time poster (hope Im doing this right)

I read months ago that when JAC went into State of Origin camp a number of players that had played under Maguire told him not to go to the Tigers - that is why he never took up the offer

Hi - first time poster (hope Im doing this right)

I read months ago that when JAC went into State of Origin camp a number of players that had played under Maguire told him not to go to the Tigers - that is why he never took up the offer

That was quoted by the media..but there was only a few in SOO that actually played under Madge(Cook +Sths second rower)...but word spreads fast amongst players..particularly if its detrimental
There was also a convoluted deal where we allegedly offered $550k to $850k contingent on whether he played fullback(which he wld never have succeeded, and wl;d have ended up with the lower figure )..so it was much easier to take the $650k and run from his perspective...again,all media numbers, but they sorta hang together.
JAC was a marquee that gave Dogs genuine cred..I wish wed paid $650 for him rather than $500 for Nofa.
So it was lose/lose for WTs yet again...

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of player love for Maguire.

To me it says a lot about an individuals attitude. Stefano is going alright.

I remember the Hertz Car Talk episode with Joffa and JTJ which the former admitted that players warned him of Maguires intense coaching before he arrived.

Though, the question they had to answer on that specific episode was “who was the coaches favourite?” and they quickly agreed AD. Doesn’t surprise me given AD’s drive and work ethic seem to be up there. An example of one of those that did not gel, being Joey Leilua is the other end of the spectrum to AD’s humble, wholehearted approach and consequently they didn’t see eye to eye.

The Stefano’s, Daine’s and Doueihi’s seem to like him enough and they are the ones worth persisting with. Hopefully Madge can find his balance though and cater his coaching to individual styles. I’d like to think Gardner will be handy in offsetting this given his popularity.

Finally found it again - don't shoot the messenger only sharing what was reported!!! (a bit scared how this copy and paste will turn out)

*Word later got back to the club that he had been advised by Blues teammates in camp to avoid playing under Maguire. He later signed with the Bulldogs.*

*Seven players in last year’s Blues squad - Luke Keary, Cody Walker, Cameron Murray, Nathan Brown, Angus Crichton, Cameron McInnes and Damien Cook - had previously been coached by Maguire at South Sydney.*

If we are not signing JAC (and we are not) - why aren't most of the posts on the previous X amount of pages in the "LAMENT THREAD"?

Talk about off topic.

I think the issue is not necessarily JAC but if players in Origin camp are saying don't sign with Tigers is it any wonder we can only sign non-NRL players or players who have been cut from their club at the moment.
