If Tigers and Cows can't negotiate a player swap Tigers should send Luc to Eels for a gap year and get Papalii early.

They wouldn’t agree to it since LL would leave after 22 and same with Papali’I if Eels signed LL from 23 that could have possibly happened but we either get something from the Cows in return for LL early or they wait until 23

Not really any different to TPJ going to Riff or Townsend going to Warriors except it would be for a full season and not half of one.

Coen Hess is a state of origin player , and ppl here say he is no good , u ppl are harsh selectors , plz let us know who is Available that is better

James Roberts
Chris McQueen
Matt Ballin
Braith Anasta
Josh Reynolds
Mumbai

Next up : The Peach

How did those origin players work out? Your form doesn’t last forever, something Pascoe/Hartigan didn’t get.

Peach will be decent for us me thinks

He will live and die by the forwards battle as does most of our side. Hopefully a couple of additions to come but I think we shouldn’t expect much in 22’

Game is transitioning towards smaller ball playing locks with the new rules. Look at the impacts Walker for Manly had and Watson for Newcastle when they would come on... Peachey could do similar for us

You are right, those types of players are really valuable but my point is they are off the back of Jurbo, Saifiti, Klem, Tapau, etc. You win the forwards battle in the engine room, then your little men thrive. We need to get Stef and Twal some help.

I don’t know what some on here want , Liddle is not origin class but he is a good 1st grade player , doesn’t miss many tackles has great pace , just needs to fine tune his play around the ruck maybe Farah can work on that

Needs to massively work on his cardio, the bloke is gassed after 30mins most matches. He's a very long way off being an 80min hooker.

Just give us Thompson from the doggies already.

Based off what @tigerballs said I don’t think we’ll be pursuing anymore front rowers but I would take him but don’t think we will

The article with Sheens today mentioned that Stefano was about to be extended so hopefully that’s true and happens hopefully next week

He said it with authority too, ❤️

100% agree don’t hate him but he needs major improvement especially his cardio when you’re gassed after only 30 minutes that’s really poor fitness I know he’s has injuries but still playing pro footy never good sign to be gassed after 30 minutes

I don’t have pace very high on my list of needs for a hooker. Toughness and craftiness much more important

I like the young prop from the Knights we have signed. He is similar in build to Utoikamanu and with reportedly a high work rate we could have a star in the making. With Pole and Tupou coming through plus the young Keebra prop there is a lot of front row talent at the club.

Bulldogs have a reported 8 spots left for 2023 with only 500k to spend which is IMPOSSIBLE to successfully register your squad

Cotric seems like he’s on his way to Canberra but will probs still need to move more with all the big names they’ve signed.

We were linked to Luke Thompson strongly not long ago, he’s on 800k at the dogs, I think we should go for him hard as he’s a damn good player he was practically on his own at the dogs and still held his own. They’ll chip in a bit just to give there cap some breathing space, offer to pay 500-550k which I strongly feel like they’ll accept to ship him off.

He’s 26 as well and English forwards age like fine wine, Sheens will know first hand what he can offer as he was THE MAN in the super league and dominated as a young kid and was one of the best forwards in the league with huge potential.

Sam Burgess and James Graham did the same thing and I really do see some sort of similar uprise from Thompson as he matures.

He’s already a work horse with huge motor and great defence and toughness who can develop along with Stefano and Papalili for our future.

Stefano and Thompson as our front row pairing would be dynamic - I think talks should be resparked especially with there latest signings

Asked a few mates about him who are massive Newie fans and they're gutted we snagged him. They reckon if not for the Saifiti bros and Klem being there he'd have debuted already.

If Thompson is signed to the club it’ll be 100% because of Sheens but idk if it’ll happen but wait and see

I hate to talk physiques but he’s built a bit like my steam mop. I could see him as a half back.

I’m all in on this. For too long packs have looked forward to playing WT

Amazing how these rumours about Liddle emerge when the Eels have lost their No 9. Coincidence? I don't believe so.

I get that point paws, but its also amazing when journalists just throw darts because its clickbait. I wouldnt believe a single thing from them grubs until I hear it from the club of Liddle directly.

I mean...Brooks is still here and was supposed to be at the Knights already. Just made up crap.

Stefano and Thompson starting pack, if this new kid from Newcastle is any good we can bring him off the bench and give him some experience and let Musgrove/Joffa/Peachey/Tuliagi/Seyfarth/Tuki the others fight for bench spots.

Twal could always play lock as I see a future there for him around the right pack with Blore and Papalili as our back towers

Future is looking brigh, if everything goes to plan.

8. Stefank Utoikamanu
9. Jake Simpkin/ Jacob Liddle
10. Alex Twal
11. Isaiah Papali'i
12. Shawn Blore
13. Tyrone Peachy

14. Alex Seyfarth
15. Christian Maanaima
16. Kelma Tuilagi
17. Tuki Simpkins

Could very well be our pack in 2023 onward.
Pending any other comings and goings.

The future does look very bright if everything goes well ofc but I’d personally like Peachey off the bench as he bring such impact/pace and versatility and move Twal to lock…. which gives Thompson to start at prop next to Stefano and only have to pay a little as dogs will chip in, just remember they valued him at 800k at one point
