Noffa has got 1 wing spot sewn up and is on the field for the full 80 each week. Has been at the club for his whole career, so ticks a few boxes to be captain. Might not be a bad option actually. A 10 minute a game prop or an introverted halfback are probably not the answer either, so why not give him a crack?!

He has zero leadership qualities and is realistically a fringe starter. Tamou can be club captain and then add Doueihi and Hastings to the leadership group, and that'll do.

He's not fringe though; he will start all/most games. You may be right about the leadership stuff though, but he may grow into it if given a chance. Doueihi is certainly the captain in waiting, but as he is not playing for half the season, we need someone to start in the role now.

Twal said in the podcast Nofo is great for the energy, always gets the guys fired up, always talking.... we only see what we see on TV.

He'd be a better option than Brooks... and Tamou.

You're not related to him are you Demps?
Seriously - He would have the Lowest Football IQ in our squad I'd reckon...
Even in general he's not the sharpest tool in the shed....
If he's captain - I'd give up.

Why not, tamou no Einstein.

Listen to them both speak in Interviews....
Hit me back if you still need me to explain it to you.

We're talking about Nofo, yeah?

I feel you think I'm talking about Twal.
All the words are relative to Nofo as well tho.

Haha, idk.

Na... We're on the same page.
At least Twal can string a sentence together....

I'm not a fan of Nofo.

Hoping he gets it together this year and runs the ball up hard and straight.

He's been frustrating to watch in recent seasons.

I honestly think he'd make a better cap than Jimmy and Brooks though, only temporarily until AD is back since people think Jacko is too green at the club to be afford the chance.

Nofos barely a first grader a lot of the time. Considering him as Captain is ridiculous.

He's on the field an incredible lot longer than the current captain...

AD 👑 the man for the job anyway.

Noffa has been added back into the leadership group
Not our outright captain

Thanks for the clarification.

He has a lot to do, on field, this year to get back in some fan's good books.

Hopefully he does what needs to be done.

Watching some old games over the break Demps...
It's seriously frightening to see that he was the same player in 2014 that he is now... ZERO development.

Not a bad finisher, 50/50 under the high ball - Runs sideways more often than not - Defence is woeful, Up and in almost always, Giving team mates the eye when he misses tackles...
He's going nowhere with us, Another. 4. Years!!

He’s had a few glimpses over the years but nothing to really justify that huge contract he got.

I feel like if he played for any top 8 team over the years he would have been banished into reserve grade never to be seen again

He’s a pretty good finisher (standard for an NRL winger) and makes ok meters. That’s about it

Heart breaking man...

He should be Brian To'o levels.

I'm hoping he can show something this year.

Shows plenty of energy doing the team song after a win.

Shame the boys don't get too many opportunities to sing it.

For first grade or seconds I think he would be an outstanding captain coach of the reserve grade team and playing fullback could really see what the problems are for the team meeting on Tuesday nighs

He would have plenty of energy to sing it after just watching the Tiger players who put in the hard yards

Article from https://www.sportingnews.com/au/league/news/nrl-2022-rugby-league-super-league-england-featherstone-rovers-joey-leilua-contract-wests-tigers/

Joey Leilua's shock admission after signing with UK second-division side Featherstone Rovers
Liam O'Loughlin
NRL discard Joey Leilua has admitted he didn't know Featherstone Rovers were a second-division side, after his attempts to join the Super League were shut down.
The 30-year-old was left unsigned by the Tigers at the end of 2021 after a falling out with head coach Michael Maguire, with no other clubs in Australia willing to sign the bulldozing centre.
Leilua was looking for a move overseas into the Super League, but according to the Samoan international, that was ruined by people bad-mouthing him and his reputation.
In an interview with BBC Sport upon arrival in England, Leilua revealed he was described as a 'bad person' by an unnamed source, as well as not knowing Featherstone's standing in UK football.
“At first, I was trying to come over to different clubs and they wanted me," he said.
"They came back to my manager and my manager said to me that someone had been putting in their ear that I’m a bad person, which I already knew who it was and it’s obviously one person. It was difficult to come over.
“I got a phone call from Brian and Martin to come over here and play – I didn’t know they were second division to be honest. The way they spoke to me, I thought they were first division.
"They spoke to me and convinced me to come over and my wife said to come over and start fresh and enjoy it here. It will be good for the kids, it’s somewhere different.
“It was disappointing that my name was getting tossed around and that I was that type of person that was bad for the club. At the same time, I knew the person I was and I wasn’t going to change.
"Featherstone came along and said they don’t care about what has happened, and that’s why I respect him so much. I can’t wait to repay them the favour they showed me."
Leilua has a wealth of NRL experience, and if he is anywhere near his best, he should dominate the Championship and earn a deal with a Super League outfit.
Quizzed on his potential to dominate for the Rovers, Leilua remained coy but did reveal he hopes to replicate the form he showed at Canberra a few years ago.
“I don’t want to say too much, I’ll just have to wait and see," he said.
"For me, I want to give it my best and hopefully get that form I had three years ago at the Raiders. It was disappointing I didn’t have any form at the Tigers, a lot of things went wrong there, but that’s in the past and I want to leave that behind me.
"Right now, I feel great and after doing boxing, it has made me fit and the lungs have opened up."

I actually feel a bit sorry for him. He has the build to be the best centre in the NRL and now he's over there, playing second division.

His attitude has always been his major problem, for his sake i hope he can change it because when he finishes football i can not see many options for him

Did Hartigan and Pascoe even interview the guy? Horrible decision!

Imagine you're some up and comer player Like Madden or Seyfarth, working as hard as you can....

Seeing Nofo pull up to training in a Ferarri.
